  8. Obituary for Mary Ann CORDINGLEY née WANNER
Obituary - Preston - Mary Ann Wanner Cordingley, 90, passed away and joined her loved ones in Heaven on Oct. 22, 2003, at Sunshine Terrace, Logan, Utah, from natural causes. She was born to Frederick Wanner and Mary Elizabeth Carter on May 21, 1913, in their home in Glendale, Idaho.
She married Ivan Lee Cordingley in the Logan, Utah temple on Aug. 2, 1934. She and Ivan raised a family of one daughter and six sons.
Behind her home in Preston she enjoyed growing a pasture-size garden as recent as 1995. She also had a beautiful flower garden with roses in front of her house. She loved to cook. Her raspberry pies and raspberry jam made from raspberries grown from her own garden were favorites of all her grandchildren. Mary Ann loved to do needlework, and received many blue ribbons at the county fair. She worked at Del Monte in Franklin, and sent four boys on LDS missions.
MaryAnn grew up in Glendale, east of Preston, and had many fond memories. Her parents built one of the first modern homes in Glendale. MaryAnn loved to tell stories of her growing-up years. She used to tell of when they first got their car and they would get in and say "giddy up."
MaryAnn's mother passed away when she was only 10 years old. At that time, MaryAnn had a 3-year-old sister named Grace. MaryAnn and her sister, Erma, would take turns staying out of school every other day to take care of their little sister. MaryAnn's father, Frederick, soon remarried and raised another family of five children.
MaryAnn had always been faithful in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Before living in Sunshine Terrace she would go to the Logan temple and do three sessions twice a week, she would ride down on the senior citizens' bus from Preston.
She is survived by five sons, Leo (Mary) Cordingley of Citrus Heights, Calif., Paul (Florence) Cordingley of Citrus Heights, Calif., Roy Cordingley of Boise, Idaho, Val (Sue) Cordingley of San Jose, Calif., Carl (Leila) Cordingley of Logan, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, who passed away May 16, 1992, a daughter, Roma Brown Sander, and son, Larry Cordingley. Her posterity includes seven children, 32 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 27, 2003, at 11 a.m., in the Whitney Ward Second Chapel, with Bishop Greg Griffeth conducting. Friends may call Sunday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m., at Webb Funeral Home, Preston, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the church. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
