If it was a "mother-in-law" it should be Fanny HARRISON née SPICER. However, it is definitely HARLAND on the census return. We have since learned that James's mother was Sarah SOLLY, so we have now decided that Fanny HARLAND should have been Fanny HARRISON, Florence's mother, and so mother-in-law to James. But Fanny had remarried in 1894. Fanny WESLEY (41) and son Arthur John WESLEY (6) School both born Ramsgate, Kent On the 1911 census Fanny was shown as having been married 7 years and having had 1 child still living 1939 61 St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent. Walter H WESLEY born 23rd May 1874 Fisherman (retired) Fanny WESLEY born 26th August 1869 Unpaid Domestic Duties and Arthur J WESLEY born 26th November 1904 Carpenter and Joiner 1962 61 St Lukes Avenue, Ramsgate, Kent (address given as administration) down as a widow. Note 1895 On her marriage certificate Fanny gives her father's name as John Kingsford WELLS, the name of Lewis Kingsford WELLS' father!.
