    Obituary: Services were held October 17 in the Price-Helton Funeral Chapel, Auburn, for Mrs. Rhoda Belle Andrews, 72, of Rt. 1, Box 68 Sumner. Mrs. Andrews died October 14 in a hospital.
    Chaplain Robert Arthur officiated. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Auburn.
    Mrs. Andrews was born in Golden and came to the Auburn area in 1937. In 1953 she moved to Enumclaw and in 1954 to Pacific. She was a member of the Green River Sisters and the B of LF and E.
    Survivors include two sons; Ira Andrews of Tacoma; LaVerne Andrews of Pacific; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Price, of Tacoma; and Mrs. Lucille Soen, of Pacific; two brothers, Lester Wheaton of Yakima; and Ray [Roy] Wheaton, of Tacoma; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Wandling, and Mrs. Opal Startup, both of Sunnyside; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 
    The following is included on the Gravestone site and included details for all of the family. There are also pictures of the various members of the family on the various entries for this family;
    Rhoda Belle Wheaton was born in a log cabin on the shore of Lake Wanacut, near pioneer farms of the Wehee family and the Golden family and was the oldest of six children born to Dona and John Wheaton. Her sisters were Flora May, born in Republic Wash. on July 20, 1898, and Opal Dorothy born in Keller Wash. June 16, 1902. Brothers were Lester Alexander born July 19, 1900 in Keller, David Earl, born July 11, 1905 and George Leroy born August 4, 1909. The family moved from Keller, in February 1905, to Ellensburg, Kittitas County, Washington, where John Wheaton had been brought by his parents, with 3 year old sister Lilly, in October of 1873 and where Dona Hutson Wheaton had been brought by her parents and 2 young uncles with her 3 year old sister Mattie in October 1892. Their sons Earl and Roy were born here and the family remained until marriages of the children moved them to other parts of the state and where illness of the parents moved (and kept them in) to Sunnyside, Washington, where daughters, Flora Wandling and Opal Startup could oversee their care. Dona died Nov. 11, 1951 and John died on March 23, 1953. (excerpts from "Our Family History" by Rhoda Andrews)

    Flora May Wandling, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 1994 at her home in Sunnyside.
    She was born July 20, 1898 in Republic, Washington the daughter of John and Dona (Hutson) Wheaton. At an early age her family moved to Keller and then to Ellensburg. She attended school in Ellensburg and continued her education in Seattle. She returned to Sunnyside and worked for Haney and Skiles and later worked in a bank. On February 15, 1922 she married Forrest W. Wandling. They made their home south of Mabton in the Glade area. In 1947 Flora moved to Sunnyside.
    She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and worked with the Mary Thompson Circle and was Treasurer of the Women's Association for more than 20 years. She was a member of the For-Get-Me-Not Club, The Golden Agers, and the Grandmother's Club. She was a Past Grand Noble of Grand Inez Rebecca Lodge of Sunnyside, but continued her membership with Alder Rebecca Lodge of Bickleton. She was a member of Alder Creek Grange of Bickleton, the Washington State Grange and the National Grange.

    Lester Alexander Wheaton

    Lester A. Wheaton, 76, of 214-1/2 North 31st Avenue, Yakima, died Monday in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
    He was born in Keller, (Ferry County)Washington, on July 19, 1900. He resided in Ellensburg until 1934 when he came to Yakima. He was a warehouse foreman for Ackley Fruit Company for 25 years. He attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Yakima.
    Survivors include one stepdaughter, Mrs. Dolores Savage of Puyallup; one brother Roy of Tacoma; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Wandling and Mrs. Opal Startup, both of Sunnyside, four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    His wife Mary died in 1954
    FUNERAL NOTICE
    WHEATON- Funeral services for Mr. Lester A. Wheaton, 76 of 214-1/2 North 31st Avenue, Yakima, who died Monday, July 11 in St. Elizabeth Hospital will be conducted Wednesday, July 13 at 1 p.m. in the Garden Chapel of Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Elder Daniel Knapp, pastor of Yakima Seventh Day Adventist Church will officiate. Concluding services and interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Ellensburg. Active bearers will be Lee Williams, Larry and Robbi, Savage, Lloyd Coughlin, Jim and Dick Wandling. Mr. Wheaton is survived by one stepdaughter, Mrs. Delores Savage of Puyallup; one brother Roy Wheaton; two sisters, Mrs. Flora Wandling and Mrs. Opal Startup, both of Sunnyside; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

    OBITUARY
    WHEATON- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Wheaton, 48, resident of Yakima for the past 16 years who died Wednesday in a Yakima hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Shaw & Sons Chapel. The Rev. Warren Knape will officiate. Burial will follow in Ellensburg Cemetery. Mrs. Wheaton was born in South Dakota and move to Yakima in 1938. She resided at 316 South 2nd Street. She is survived by her husband Lester; one daughter Mrs. Delores Savage, El Paso, Texas; two brothers, one sister and three grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Wandling, Lyle Wandling, Earl Wandling, Eugene Startup, Vern Andrews, and Larry Wheaton.
    I do not know if CORENZA give on the Grave Site is her maiden name or her first married name.  The daughter Delores SAVAGE appears to be hers as she is down as such on the obituary for her but is down as a Step Daughter for her husband, but again no clue from this as she is down as Mrs Delores Savage so do not know her maiden name.

    Opal Startup, 92, of Sunnyside died Friday at Sunnyside Community Hospital. Mrs. Startup was a farmer in the Denmark District near Ellensburg. Survivors include a daughter, Marie O'Rourke of Yakima; a son, Eugene Startup of Sunnyside; a brother, LeRoy Wheaton of Olympia; and four grandsons. Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, is in charge of services. [obituary from Yakima Herald-Republic, Saturday, October 22, 1994]. Opal is listed as Dorothy Opal Startup in death records.
    The funeral remembrance for Opal was held at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyside. Pastor Elmer Bigham of the United Methodist Church in Sunnyside officiated. The Sacred Piano Selection was by Dave Startup. Casket Bearers were Don, Seth, Doug, and Dave Startup, Pat Wandling, and John O'Rourke II. Interment was at Sunnyside Memorial Park.
