I was very interested in this entry as it definitely appeared to be one of my descendants so I asked Barry to look into it further.
This was what he found:
Mary Ann Dackombe, widow of Daniel Dackombe (late of Bromley &
George-street, Walworth) and daughter of Thomas Rook, America - The
GENTLEMEN who have been making inquiries for this lady, will oblige by
COMMUNICATING with C. E. Weldon, 9 St George's-villas,
Tufnell-park-road, Holloway.
Definitely one of my wifes ancestors. Will now have to find out what it means.
