  1. 1851 Welches Dam, Cambridgeshire
    1861 Broadpool Drove, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1871 Turf (Tick) Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1891 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
    1901 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
1911 The Hertfordshire, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. Will only list for George but the actual Census has the following all crossed out:
Emma BATEMAN daughter 46 married born Warboys Fen
Ada DRING daughter 34 married born Warboys Fen
Charles BASS son 44 married Labourer Employer born Warboys Fen
John BASS son 43 married Labourer Employer born Warboys Fen
William BASS son 43 married Labourer Employer born Warboys Fen
(I assume he added all of his children whether they were living with him or not, we do not have an Emma but Emily above would have been 46, Charles and Ada we have and from the 1901 Census it would appear that John had married between 1891 and 1911  and William had married between 1901 and 1911.
Then there are the following not crossed out
George aged 30, Benjamin aged 27 and Arthur aged 25 then there is an Arthur BASS aged 16 a Grandson Single a Brickyard Labourer no birth place given.
There are two George BASS's as Head of families on the 1871 Census. Having now looked at the various Censuses, I feel that this George married Eliza and had as one of his family a daughter Ada BASS who appears on DRING Chart 0512. This is because the other family moved outside Warboys, and Ada is shown as born in Warboys.
  2. 1871 Turf (Tick) Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1891 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
    1901 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
1911 The Hertfordshire, Warboys, Huntingdonshire.  With the family was a Arthur BASS aged 16 a Grandson Single a Brickyard Labourer no birth place given. Eliza is down as having been maried 46 years having had 10 children, 8 of whom survive and two of who have died.
  3. 1871 Turf (Tick) Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
  4. 1871 Turf (Tick) Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1891 Little Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1901 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire. (in the next property to his parents)
1911 5 Barr Street, Whittlesey, Cambridgeshire
  5. 1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
  6. 1891 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
1911 Green Dyke Bank, Lotten Fen, Ramsey St Mary's Huntingdonshire. Children Ernest Edward aged 18 (1893 - parents only down as being born 16 years), a Farm Hand born Warboys, Huntingdonshire, John, Aged 12 School, born Warboys, Huntingdonshire, Annie aged 6 born Doddington, Cambridgeshire, and Ada aged 4 also born Doddington, Cambridgeshire. Sarah is down as having had 8 children only four of whom survive and four of whom have died.
  7. 1881 Tick Fen, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
    1891 Hulls? Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
1901 High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire (Information from Julia CAMPBELL RG13 1476 Fo 39 pg 1 Sch 2 Living in 3 rooms)
1901 High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. Ada is a Domestic Servant to an Eliza IVATT.
1911 St Marys Road, Ramsey, Huntingdonshire.
    Monumental Inscription
In Loving Memory of John Dring who died July 14 1963 Aged 69 years also Ada his wife died August 4 1957 aged 81 years
This Note explains why I think that this BASS Chart is correct.
Father of Ada BASS – George BASS (1856-) – 1902 Baker - I do not think this (1856) is correct, there is one Ada BASS that comes up on the 1881 and 1891 Census and she does have a father George but he is born in 1843. He is also up until 1901 an Ag Lab, although I suppose by December 1901 he could have put himself down as a Baker. I still feel that this is the correct father and family for Ada. Having gone through all the Censuses looking at the various George BASS's born in Warboys, I am now fairly certain that the George BASS on BASS Chart 0701 and this Chart is the father of Ada and his wife was Eliza (Elizabeth) not Martha Jane which shows as an alternative on BASS Chart 0701. Charts will be put on to show this, with Notes to show that there is a slight chance of it being incorrect.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
