  1. 1901 Census - 70 Russell Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire.
  2. 1891 Census - 7 Gladstone Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire. On the 1891 James is down on the Census as Archibald, I have found the birth in the March quarter of 1889 as James Archibald BELLAMY so certain they are referring to the same child. (I will also note that at 13 Gladstone street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire there was a William H BELLAMY, born 1863 in Harrington, Northamptonshire and his family, they might not be related but there is a possibility that they are)
  3. 1881 Census - Pilkenton's Yard, North Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire.
  4. 1871 Census - Back Lane, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  5. 1861 Census - West Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  6. 1851 Census - North Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  7. 1841 Census - Castle Yard, Bourne, Lincolnshire - Only person on the Census on this Census was James BELLAMY, aged 50, born Lincolnshire, a Miller. (Assume this is the father of Richard)
  8. IGI have found the baptism of Richard on the IGI as above, this shows that his mother was a Mary and the father as we have already found out on the 1841 Census in Note 7 was a James. I have done a search of the Batch Number on the IGI and Richard is the only one that come up with a James BELLAMY as father and a Mary as a mother. There are a lot of births in the period with a James as a father but the mother is a Rebecca CULPIN. They are both sides of Richard so it does look as though it is another family, unless the information for our Richard is incorrect and it should be Rebecca. Cannot at present go back a further family until we can confirm one way or the other. The only marriage that come up is Richard to Rebecca CULPIN on 18th August 1807. One comes up for a marriage of a Richard BELLAMY in Kyme, Lincolnshire to a Mary, this is dated 10th October 1816 which is sixth months after the birth of Richard, but is of course a possibility. Again the IGI only has a few of the marriages and some of these are incorrect so it is quite likely that none of the information in this note is relevant other than the baptism date.
  9. 1891 Census - Pilkenton's Yard, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  10. 1901 Census - Terrace Yard, Bourne, Lincolnshire. Cannot find death of Mary but it appears that they were married for just about 60 years, before the death of Richard. Found on every Census from 1841 to 1901.
  11. 1881 Census - Back Lane, Bourne, Lincolnshire.
  12. 1901 Census - 12 St Martin Street, Peterborough, Northamptonshire. William and Ellen had four children, John W aged 14, born Bourne, Lincolnshire,  Sidney, 11 born Peterborough, Florence, 5 born Peterborough and Ernest 4 born Peterborough.
  13. 1891 Census - 6 Albion Place, Peterborough, Northamptonshire. Just the first two children as shown on the 1901 Census, but the eldest is down as Willie.
  14. I am not certain about this marriage. It is the only one I can find of a Thomas BELLAMY to an Ann around this time. I would have thought it would have come in the Bourne district, not in Spalding. Baston the birth place of Ann is only four miles from Bourne. However it is possible that was not where Ann was living at the time of her marriage. I will leave as I have it until someone comes up with something different.
  15. 1891 Census - 2 New Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  16. 1901 Census - 3 Exeter Row, Bourne, Lincolnshire
  17. 1851 Census - Bede Houses, South Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire. James BELLAMY, father of Richard was living at this address. a widower, aged 67 is down as Bedehouse Man, formerly Baker and Miller
  18. 1861 Census - Bede Houses, South Street, Bourne, Lincolnshire. James BELLAMY, father of Richard was living at this address. a widower, aged 67 is down as Bedehouse Man, formerly a  Baker
  19. Information about Richard  and Mary BELLAMY's burials come from Robert THORNE in the US  from a letter sent to him by the Clerk of Bourne Town Council, Lincolnshire, August 2006. Also the father of Richard, a James BELLAMY's father see Note 7, 17 and 18 died Star Lane, Bourne, Lincolnshire and was buried on 22nd March 1867 at Bourne Cemetery, Bourne, Lincolnshire.
  • The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
