  1. 1841 Fish Pool Bottom, Littlebourne, Kent
1851 Census - Higham Farm, Littlebourn, Kent.
    1861 Census - Fordwich, Kent.
1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent
1881 Census - Town of Fordwich, Kent. There is a James BRENCHLEY, aged 3 a Grandson born Sturry, Kent and then there is a Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 down as Granddaughter, married, born Fordwich, Kent. I think possibly that this was really their daughter and she was married.
1891 Census - Meadow Colleges, Fordwich, Kent. There was a James BRENCHLEY, Grandson, aged 13 born Sturry, Kent and an Fredrida SMITH, Granddaughter, aged 4 born Canterbury, Kent with the family on this Census.
1901 Census - Near School, Fordwich, Kent
  2. 1861 Census - Fordwich, Kent.

  3. 1861 Census - Fordwich, Kent.
1871 Census - 43 St Peters Place, Canterbury, Kent/  Charlotte is down as a Servant, with a Sarah Parry.
1881 Census - 3 St Peters Lane, Canterbury, Kent
  4. 1861 Census - Fordwich, Kent.
1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent,
1881 Census - Town of Fordwich, Kent. Then there is a James BRENCHLEY, aged 3 a Grandson born Sturry, Kent and then there is a Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 down as Granddaughter, married, born Fordwich, Kent. I think possibly that this was really their daughter and she was married.
I felt with the 1881 Census that the grandchild Elizabeth down as Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 was in fact a daughter, I have now found on the BMD a marriage of an Elizabeth BRENCHLEY to a Frederick Thomas POLLARD so confirming my thoughts. However I cannot find any trace of family after this, so perhaps Frederick died soon after marriage.
  5. 1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent,
1881 Census - Brunswick Road, Birchington, Kent. Christopher was a lodger with his wife Annie L. However they were with a family of BUSHELL's which I would think were the parents of Annie Louise as I have this as her maiden name from the BMD and they would have only just been married.
1891 Census - 5 Albert Place, Whippingham, Isle of Wight, Hampshire
1901 Census - 5 Ludlow Road, Sholing, Hampshire.
  6. 1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent,
1881 Census - Town of Fordwich, Kent. Then there is a James BRENCHLEY, aged 3 a Grandson born Sturry, Kent and then there is a Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 down as Granddaughter, married, born Fordwich, Kent. I think possibly that this was really their daughter and she was married.
  7. 1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent,
1881 Census - Town of Fordwich, Kent. Then there is a James BRENCHLEY, aged 3 a Grandson born Sturry, Kent and then there is a Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 down as Granddaughter, married, born Fordwich, Kent. I think possibly that this was really their daughter and she was married.
There is a marriage of a Lilly BRENCHLEY as shown above, but there are two females mentioned and only one male, a Henry ROBSON, I was hoping to find Lily married a SMITH, see Note 6, but of course it could still be Maria but I feel she would have been too young to have a child of 5 on the 1891 Census. Of course the other male not mentioned on the BMD could be a SMITH, so for the present have left with a ???. There is a Maria Jane BRENCHLEY that married a Walter Thomas SMITH or a Stephen DUNKIN in the September quarter of 1888 which I suspect is the correct. ie that Maria married the SMITH, but therefore has the child Fredrida before marriage.
  8. 1871 Census - Sturry Street, Sturry, Kent,
1881 Census - Town of Fordwich, Kent. Then there is a James BRENCHLEY, aged 3 a Grandson born Sturry, Kent and then there is a Elizabeth POLLARD aged 21 down as Granddaughter, married, born Fordwich, Kent. I think possibly that this was really their daughter and she was married.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
