Ellen was a Housemaid to the rector of St Giles, Robert HARKNESS aged 54 born Howey, Somerset and his wife Elizabeth aged 56 born Belgrave, Leicestershire. they had a daughter Katherine aged 23 born Great Malvern, Worcestershire. There was a Visitor and three other servants.
    1891 Cedarlea, Poole Road, Holdenhurst, Hampshire. Ellen was a Servant to a Jane McFARLANE aged 53 born Scotland, she had three daughters with her and there were two other servants. (same family as1901 but wife on this census, no husband)
    1901 Elleslee, Bromley, Kent. Ellen was a Parlourmaid to a William McFARLANE aged 56 a cape Merchant born Paisley, Scotland. with him were three daughters and there were two other servants. (same family as 1891?) but husband this time.
    1911 28 Priory Avenue, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire . Ellen is down as Head, but she is in a house of Servants except for a Boarder who is 90 years old born in Madras, India.

    I think I have got as far as I can with this chart, I have covered all of the children until 1911 except for Rosa, although at present I have not found a death for Jessie. Also have deaths of Walter and Frank to find.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family.
