  1. 1851 Census - Manstone, Thanet St Lawrence, Kent
  2. 1871 Census - 8 Hertford Place, Ramsgate, Kent
  3. 1881 Census - 6 Willsons? Road, Ramsgate, Kent. It would appear that Ann had remarried as she is down with a George Cladingbowl. There are five children which I would this are from George's first marriage, one child from George and Ann's marriage and Sarah and Edward CHAPMAN from the marriage to Walter, both down as wife's child before marriage. This becomes a most complicated Chart. I cannot find the death of Walter or the marriage of Ann to George but I am sure this is the correct family on the 1881 Census. I have put all the details from the 1881 Census on above. There was also a servant a Richard BENCHLEY a Mariners Apprentice, Aged 19 born Ramsgate, Kent. I think he ties up with the BRENCHLEY's who are also part of this line and have their own Charts.
  4. 1891 Census - 127 Clapham Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk. George P CLADINGBOWL aged 74 born Ramsgate, Kent, father of George above was with the family on this Census.
  5. 1901 Census - 28 Windem Road, Kirkley, Suffolk. Ann is down as Alice on this census, but I do not think it is another wife, as same age and born in Ramsgate. I think if George had married again his new wife would have been born outside of Ramsgate, as he was now living in Suffolk. Edward appears to be with the family (27 years old) but is down as Cladingbowl not Chapman. Harold is down as Harry
  6. 1871 Census - Fishing Vessel - Pride of the Ocean - Kent - George is down as Master - Mate and three apprentices with him. Down as married.
  7. 1871 Census - 13 Monkton Cottages, Ramsgate, Kent. The BMD come up with George Lake CLADINGBOWL marrying a Mary Elizabeth SHERRED but this Census shows her as Matilda. There is a possibility that I have the wrong marriage but George Lake CLADINGBOWL is an unusual name. However Matilda on this Census is shown to be born in Hadleigh, Suffolk, which is the first indication we have had to where she was born and her age. George was not with her as he was at see - see Note 6 - but the children on the 1881 Census tie up with those on this one, so I am certain this is the family. (Just a Note at 10 Monkton Cottages there are two boarders a James TERRY (26) and a Lucy CLEGGETT (22) I think both tie up with our family history elsewhere on my Charts)
  8. An interesting find on the BMD. It would appear that although having appeared together as man and wife from the 1881 Census and having children, George and Ann(ie) did not actually marry until 1892 when their married in the Norwich district.
  9. 1911 53 Oxford St Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales. Children Doris aged 5, and Beatrice May aged 1 (no birth place given but presume Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales. With the family was an Abbey RICHARD a Niece aged 14 born Swansea, Wales, Glamorganshire.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
