    It's 'time' for pub landlords
The landlord of a Little Sandhurst put are calling time after 14 years' service.
Jeffery and Kathleen Colchester-Hill are retiring from the Bird in Hand and at a leaving party last Saturday the couple were inundated with flowers and tributes from their customers.
"I expect we are going to miss all our customers because that have been very good." said Mrs Colchester-Hall. "It was a marvelous part and over 100 of them turned up to say goodbye."
The popular pair have been landlords for 27 years and always with Morlands Brewery, but their 14 years in Little Sandhurst is their longest stay.
Previously they were at The Grapes in Abingdon; The Queen's Hotel, Reading and the White Horse in Easthampstead Road.
Before they became licensees Mr. Colchester-Hall was in the RAF and his wife worked as a nurse, but they decided to become publican when Mr. Colchester-Hall left the Air Force.
Now that they are pulling their last pints the couple hope to travel and visit relatives in South Africa and Australia. But initially they plan a quiet holiday in the sun of the Canary Islands.
Mrs. Colchester-Hall said "We already have a house because two years ago my husband said if we found a nice house and bought it he would retire.
"But it has taken two years to get into it because after we bought it he decided he didn't want to retire."
The couple were due to leave the pub this week but there has been a delay in the new landlord taking over, so they ill not be moving out until March 24.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
