Susan is down as Sister-in-Law on this Census to a Charles Clarke a Widower aged 56 a Farmer of 120 Acres Employing 12 men and 4 boys and born Enfield Middlesex, with him was his son Arthur William unmarried aged 29 a Farmers son born Enfield, Middlesex and Florence daughter aged 21 born Enfield, Middlesex. Also with the family was a Mary RICH a Niece aged 20 born Enfield, Middlesex and a Florence A. S. SANKEY a Granddaughter aged 6, no birth place given. Charles. We have done some research on this, as we have tried to find out what relationship Susan was to Charles CLARKE we have found that Charles married Sarah Ann KNIGHT in June quarter 1847 in E London district. (Witness at John CRACKNELL and Susan KNIGHTLEY's marriage in 1845) He is down as Charles Bardle CLARK, the child Florence on the census above was born as Florence Jane on 16th April 1859 and baptised 15th May 1859 at St Andrew, Enfield Middlesex with parents as Charles Bardle CLARKE and Sarah Ann of Enfield. (Actually married 22nd May 1847 St Botolph without Bishopsgate, London, witnesses a Henry WILKIN and a Marie DAVIS. Father of Charles was Bardle CLARKE a Labourer and of Sarah Ann KNIGHTLEY a Farmer, Their address if given as Sun Street. Charles Bardle CLARKE died December quarter 1888 in Edmonton district, Middlesex aged 62 and was buried on 1st October 1888 at St James, Enfield Highway, Enfield, Middlesex
