    (We did have The Rise, Sunningdale, Berkshire but when looking to see if she was entered as STEMP or STEMPT I could not find her. Brothers Albert and Henry, together with their wives have this address but I have looked through all the names in The Rise and cannot find Emily. JKW 7/5/2015)

There were three other servants, an Alice BLACKMAN aged 23 a Parlor Maid born Burnham, Buckinghamshire, an Alice M MORRIS aged 20 a Maid born Maidenhead, Berkshire and an Alice ASKINGS aged 20 a House Maid born Chalway, Buckinghamshire.
    1911 Hurst, Clunton, Aston On Clun, Shropshire. Living with them was mother Sarah Jane STEMPT (64) born Sunningdale, Berkshire 
    and niece Winnifred Alice STEMP (4) born Beckenham, Kent.  On the 1911 census Emily is shown as having been married 9 years and having had 4 children, 3 still living and 1 has died
  3. 1911 Hurst, Clunton, Aston On Clun, Shropshire. Living with them was grandmother Sarah Jane STEMPT (64) born Sunningdale, Berkshire and niece Winnifred Alice STEMP (4) born Beckenham, Kent. 
  4. Child is not shown on 1911 but has been left as a gap between the two siblings and entered as son and 1 day and birth place but no other details
  5. 1911 Hurst, Clunton, Aston On Clun, Shropshire. . Living with them was grandmother Sarah Jane STEMPT (64) born Sunningdale, Berkshire  and niece Winnifred Alice STEMP (4) born Beckenham, Kent.

    There was a Richard H DAWSON marriage Bet. April - June 1929 Clun District, Shropshire to Martha GRIFFITHS. However, no death for her was found, not any children so no clues as to whether this is the right marriage
  7. Child with the surname DAWSON and the mother's maiden name as STEMPT born in the correct area at the correct time who we believe must be a child of this couple.
