    1861 Woodhurst, Huntingdonshire
1871 Census - High Crag House, Farndale, East Side, Yorkshire - I am pleased I have found the family on this Census as it proves that I now have the right first marriage for the family were with the parents of Jane. So the Head was George FLETCHER aged 61 a Stone Mason, born Farndale East, Yorkshire, his wife was Mary FLETCHER, aged 70 born Farndale East, Yorkshire, then there was George DRING son-in-law and the rest of the family as shown as Note 12 above. Also with the family were George HANSELL, Grandson, aged 6 born Farndale East Yorkshire and Hannah HANSELL, Granddaughter, Aged 4 also born Farndale east Yorkshire, I have not found where they fit in as yet. This also proves Note 7 above.
1881 High Crag House, Farndale East Side, Yorkshire
I think that after the 1881 Census George's wife Jane died (September quarter 1884 Hartlepool district age 38, he married again to a Sarah who was born in Kirbymoorside Yorkshire., by the 1891 Census, George had died and with this Sarah a widow there was Harry and Charles who we already had and then a Beatrice Dring age 3 and a Frederick Dring aged 1 who I think are the children of Sarah. In 1891 they were living at 7 Elliott Street, Stranton, Hartlepool, Durham. I am going to add the information for this but wanted people to understand the reasons for showing a second marriage. I think he married a Sarah WRIGHT in the December quarter of 1885 in the Whitby district of Yorkshire. I think George died in March quarter 1890 in Hartlepool district his age on the BMD is 43 so not quite right but I think this is the correct on.
  2. 1871 Census - High Crag House, Farndale, East Side, Yorkshire - I am pleased I have found the family on this Census as it proves that I now have the right first marriage for the family were with the parents of Jane.

1901 7 Elliot Street, Stranton, West Hartlepool, Durham

  4. 1871 Census - High Crag House, Farndale, East Side, Yorkshire
1881 Jeffry Field, Danby, Yorkshire. George was a Farm Servant to a Matthew Marsay a farmer of 50 acres.
    1891 42 Alma Road, Stranton
1901 55 Elliot Street, Hartlepool, Durham
We did not have George as a child of this family but on the 1901 Census there is a John William DRING, brother born 1875 and we did have him, I had already seen him on the 1891 Census, but had at that time discounted him although they were all in Alma Road, Hartlepool. Will not go back and add his details. On the 1901 Census he is married and has five children one a Johnson DRING so confirming that is must be the right line.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
