  1. 1820 Spencer Row, Clerkenwell  (at baptism) Parents Hunter a Bookseller and Esther DEWAR
1837 Back Hill, Holborn, London (at baptism of Emily, Lawrence, Jane, Richard and Mary)
1841 Census Bronti Place, St Mary Newington, Surrey.
    1851 Census  - 28 Herberts Road, Southwark
(Richard is down as being 46 on this Census, so this would make him born in 1825 not 1832 as we have it from the IGI. It is possible therefore that t his is not the correct Richard, but there are a lot of questions above about this. I think it is the correct Richard and he was born a lot earlier than shown. I have now found him on the 1851 Census, again born about 1824 and married to a Theodosia Martha, I know she died in 1852, so he married again. Richard and Theodosia had two children on the 1851 Census Richard 3 and John 1, born Southwark, Surrey. This does not explain the Charles born in 1857 on Edermaniger Chart 0502. I also think that Richard Higgs Edermaniger had a previous marriage to the one with Elizabeth Walford above, as we now have a possibility of four children born before they were married, this is already picked up with my note about the 1841 Census. Richard and Theodosia were living at 28 Herberts Road, Southwark on the 1851 Census. It does help in some respects as I keep picking up a Richard EDERMANIGER born 1848 which with the first child of Richard and Theodosia we now have one.
1861 Census - 7 Pheasant Cottages, Lambeth, Surrey
1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London
  2. 1861 Census - 7 Pheasant Cottages, Lambeth, Surrey
  3. 1851 Census  - 28 Herberts Road, Southwark
  4. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London
  5. Birth and burial of this child. I think a child of this family with the names Theodosia
  6. 1851 Census  - 28 Herberts Road, Southwark
1861 Census - 7 Pheasant Cottages, Lambeth, Surrey
1874 Trafalgar Street, Walworth, Surrey (address at marriage)
1881 Census - 29 Wyvil Road, Lambeth, London
    1891 Census - 14 Thomas Street, Lambeth.
1901 Census - 14 Wareham Street, Lambeth, Surrey.
  7. 1851 Census  - 28 Herberts Road, Southwark
1861 Census - 7 Pheasant Cottages, Lambeth, Surrey
1867 I believe that it was this John EDERMANIGER who was acquitted of Larceny in 1867. He had no previous convictions.
1891 Census - 90 Wickham Street, Lambeth Surrey. There was a lodger a James COLLINS aged 22 a Fish Curer born Limehouse with the family.
1901 Census - 1 Wickham Street, Lambeth, Surrey. In the same house as a Charles EDERMANIGER who was 24 and his family Maria his wife and two children, Elizabeth 3 and Charles 1.  Also in the same property was a Mary A FLEMING aged25 born Bethnal Green, London and down as single and her son Albert 11 months born Lambeth, Surrey.
  8. 1852 Herberts Buildings, Southwark (address given at death) again I think this was a child of this family. (down as under 1)
  9. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London
1881 Census - 13 Beaufort Ter Nunhead Lane, A servant with a Harry PARSONS, a Publican aged 43 born St James, Middlesex and his familly. (down as Edermayer on this census)
1891 Census - 18 Frank Street, Lambeth, Surrey.
1901 Census - 72 Church Street, Lambeth, Surrey.
  10. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London
  11. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London
I am having problems with this child, appears on the 1871 Census and baptised as Francis Alfred EDERMANIGER. I could find nothing else for him after that, but there appears in 1898 a marriage of a Francis EDERMANIGER (no middle name) with the correct father Richard EDERMANIGER, right occupation Engineer. On the 1911 Census Francis appears but he is down as being born in 1873, which is not as above, then finding the baptism of two of the childre he is down as Francis Henry EDERMANIGER. I have therefore come to the conclusion, although I cannot find a death at this time, that Francis Alfred died between 1871 and 1873 and they had another son who they name Francis Henry. This is now what I have shown on the chart above.
1911 Kennington Lambeth, SE.  The place of birth for this family on this Census needs to be looked at closely. Francis has put the birth places in full so they stretch down the address column I think in order but not next to the relevant child. Taking two or three rows for each child.  Quite a find they have put themselves down as Mr F and Mrs E but certain correct family.
  12. 1871 Census - 3 Garden Cottages, Kennington, Lambeth, London.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
