James BELLAMY aged 38 Compositor (Letterpress Printers) birh place not know, Nelly BELLAMY aged 32 married under one year and having had no children born Southwark, London, Samuel ARNOLD aged 10 stepson, School born Southwark, London, Lilian ARNOLD stepdaughter aged 3 born Camberwell, London 1920 4 Cavan Terrace, Surrey Row, Walworth, London (address at marriage) Father down as Samuel George FORRESTER (deceased) General Dealer 1920 20 Pearman Street, Lambeth, London (baptism of son Samuel George Leslie) 1920 24 Pearman Street, Westminster Bridge Road (address at marriage) Father Charles George SMITH - Cigar Maker 1920 20 Pearman Street, Lambeth, London (baptism of son Samuel George Leslie) 1939 77 Northborough Road, Croydon, Surrey. Bertha N FORRESTER born 1st October 1899 Paid Domestic Duties 1920 20 Pearman Street, Lambeth, London (baptism of Samuel George Leslie) Note I found this family on the 1901 Census and found to my surprise that Samuel had married again to a Nellie who was only 21 years ago, so assume that Florence died between 1891 and 1901. As Samuel is shown as only four months on the Census I have put him as the son of Samuel and Nellie. This could be wrong. The Census actually says second wife which is most unusual. They were living at 14 Sutherland Road, Walworth, Newington, London Deserted during World War I, went to the U.S.A. came back to the U.K. under the name of Forrester and became a London Taxi Driver. I found this family on the 1901 Census and found to my surprise that Samuel had married again to a Nellie who was only 21 years ago, so assume that Florence died between 1891 and 1901. As Samuel is shown as only four months on the Census I have put him as the son of Samuel and Nellie. This could be wrong. The Census actually says second wife which is most unusual. They were living at 14 Sutherland Road, Walworth, Newington, London On 7th August 2007 I received the following message from a Richard, this enabled me to update this chart and find one or two extra pieces of information: ARNOLD CHART 0400.Samuel George Arnold 1868 Walworth -I think you will find that on the 1901 census. Nellie R was not yet married to SGA and should have been shown as Nellie Forrester who was my great aunt. Her 4 months old son was registered as Samuel G Forrester so another porkie. They eventually married in 1904. SGA jnr. returning to the UK as a Forrester totally fits the bill as that was probably still his legal name.
