She will be greatly missed by family and friends, She is now reunited with those looves ones who predeceased her;husband William G. Meier III, father William D. Friend, mother Hilda Friend, and borther William and John Friend. Phyllis porudly served in the Women's Royal Canadian Naval service from 1943-1946 earning a War Service Medal. She will also be remembered for her years of service to Air Canada. Phyllis grew up in Calgary, Canada and moved to Mason, Michigan when he married March 11, 1966. In 1998, she relocated to Vicoria, B.C. and became one of the origianl Strat Council members for The Charleston dedicating more than fifteen years of service to felllow residens. She retired to Sunrise on her 95th birthday. May she rest in peace Aoril 17, 1920 - December 23, 2017.
