Have now found marriage, I search for a Bessie or an Elizabeth on the Censuses, for 1875 in 1875 in Stratton, Dorset. There is an Elizabeth FOSE on the 1891, so I think this should be FOX as the BMD shows it, then in the quarter above there is a Bessie FOX who married a Arthur James C HARDY. This was in the same quarter and district as his sister Matilda Jessie (Jessie Matilda) and she had changed her names round, so I do not know where the Arthur came from, but I am certain this is the correct marriage.
  2. 1881 16 Grove Buildings, Fordington, Dorset. Elizabeth is 6 and a Scholar, Her parents were Philip W COX aged 50 an Ag Lab born Stratton, Dorset, and Emily aged 43 born Weymouth, Dorset. Siblings were Charles J 10 a Scholar born Stratton, Dorset, Emily 8 a Scholar, born Stratton, Dorset, Alice A aged 4 Scholar, born Charminster, Dorset and Beatrice 1 born Charminster, Dorset.
1891 23 High Street, Dorchester, Dorset.  (down as Elizabeth FOSE but it is definitely FOX on the Census) She is a Servant to a William BROWN aged 29 born Whitechurch, Dorset (I wonder if there is any connection to the BROWN families we are working on) he is a Grocer, Cycle Dealer and Organist. His wife was Ellen L aged 28 born Waddock?, Dorset and they had a child Lydia S aged 2 months born Dorchester, Dorset.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
