  1. Edwin and Elizabeth sailed, with his brother Henry and his wife, from Birkenhead as assisted immigrants on the 29th September 1856 and arrived in Geelong on the 27th January 1857 aboard the "Arabian". After settling in Hotspur, where their seven children were born, Edwin and Elizabeth moved the the Gymbowen area with/near their son James in about 1894.

  2. 1841 Poole Union Workhouse, Canford Magna, Poole, Dorset. Elizabeth and Mary were both in the Workhouse on this Census which suggests that their parents had died by this time.
    1851 Town Gate Street, Poole (St James) Poole, Dorset, Elizabeth and Mary are down as nieces with Thomas Petley TUCKER aged 70 a House Proprietor, born Christchurch, Hampshire and his wife Louise TUCKER, aged 49, born Poole, Dorset
