  1. 1851 - Census - High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. Samuel on Ancestry.com is down as TRICH, but on looking at the Census it is definitely IRISH and he is down as being born in London which ties up, His wife is a Harriet which also ties up with Note 6 above. They have a son, also as servants there are Henry ONYETT, aged 16 born Warboys, Huntingdonshire and Sarah DOWTON?, aged 15 also born Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1861 Census - Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. (Ancestry.com has is correct as IRISH on this Census)
1871 -Census - Church Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire (Ancestry.com has it as FRISH on this Census, but it is definitely IRISH). Samuel is down as being born in Holborn, London on this Census. Daughter Hannah is down as Elizabeth.
Cannot confirm death date for Samuel but there is a death of a Samuel IRISH in the Islington district of London in December quarter of 1878. Their last child was born in December quarter of 1878 in Islington district, so it is a possible, BUT he is down as Samuel Knight IRISH and he is down as being born in 1828 not 1830 as his age appears on the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Census. On the IGI someone has submitted the births of Ann IRISH and Samuel Setchell IRISH and has the father down for them as Samuel "KNIGHT" IRISH which would confirm that I have the correct death.
A member on the IGI has submitted a Christening of a John Thomas IRISH with parents Samuel and Hannah on the 9th April 1857 in Warboys, Huntingdonshire. My sister having looked further into this has concluded that he is indeed a member of this family as on the 1861 he is down as Grandson with a James SETCHELL and family. As his mothers maiden name was SETCHELL we feel he must be a member of the family so he has been now added above.
There is a death for a Silvanus IRISH in September quarter of 1842 in St Ives district of Huntingdonshire. I would think it is likely therefore that the father of Samuel IRISH was Silvanus.
  2. 1851 - Census - High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
  3. 1861 Census - Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. (Ancestry.com has is correct as IRISH on this Census). Next door to Samuel and Hannah on the 1861 Census there is a Oliver SETCHELL and his family, as he is only 24 I would think it is possible that he is a brother of Hannah.
1871 -Census - Church Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire (Ancestry.com has it as FRISH on this Census, but it is definitely IRISH). Samuel is down as being born in Holborn, London on this Census. Daughter Hannah is down as Elizabeth.
1881 Census - 26? Castle Road, St Pancras, London, Middlesex
1891 Census - High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1901 Census - Fleetwood, Rock Road, Cherry Hinton, Cambridgeshire. Just Hannah and her daughter Clara on this Census. They had a servant a Dora HOLDER, aged 15 a General Servant Domestic born Steeple Morden?, Cambridgeshire.
1911 High Street, Buntingford, Hertfordshire. Herbert HUNTER was the Head, his wife was Clar born 1876 Warboys, Huntingdonshire. With them was Hannah IRISH mother-in-law aged 77 a widow.born Warboys, Huntingdonshire. With the family was an Elizabeth SMITH a Visitor a widow aged 77 born Stow, Norfolk
  4. 1851 - Census - High Street, Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
There is another marriage of a Samuel IRISH in St Ives in the September quarter of 1850 to either a Sarah ALLPRESS or a Harriet Elizabeth FYSON, I therefore think it is likely that this is the same Samuel and Mary E is the child of that marriage and his wife died and he remarried in 1853.
  5. 1861 Census - Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. (Ancestry.com has is correct as IRISH on this Census)
There is another marriage of a Samuel IRISH in St Ives in the September quarter of 1850 to either a Sarah ALLPRESS or a Harriet Elizabeth FYSON, I therefore think it is likely that this is the same Samuel and Mary E is the child of that marriage and his wife died and he remarried in 1853

1891 Census - Crown and Piper, High Street, Fenstanton, Huntingdonshire
1901 Census - 6 Olmar Street, Camberwell, London. I had this down as could not find on this Census, but they are down as IRICK on Ancestry.com. I think he was registered John Edgar but appears on this Census as Albert.
  8. 1861 Census - Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. (Ancestry.com has is correct as IRISH on this Census)
Baptism details on the IGI. This was submitted by a member.
  9. 1861 Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire.
1871 - Church Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire
1879 Address at Marriage - 4 Quadrant Grove.
    1881 Church Street, Broughton, Huntingdonshire.
1891 Chequers Inn, High Street, Broughton, Huntingdonshire
1901 150 High Street, Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire
1911 Census - 20 Princes St Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire
We believe that the surname of Hannah was IRISH not FISH, but it on the details of the marriage of Montague ONYETT and Lizzie KEECH in Canada the mother of Montague is put down as Hannah FISH. The marriage on the BMD for Henry and Hannah is down with her name as IRISH and as far as our searches have found their were no FISH families in Warboys at that time, but a family with the name of IRISH ties up with Hannah on the 1861 Census and I have put this Chart on to show her family.
  10. 1861 Census - Mill End, Warboys, Huntingdonshire.

Daughter Hannah is down as Elizabeth. On the 1871 Sarah Lavinia is down as Lavinia. On the BMD she is down as Sarah Lavinia
Marriage details on the IGI. This was submitted by a member. However the BMD shows this marriage as happening in London City district, in June quarter 1882.
  12. 1871 -Census - Church Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire (Ancestry.com has it as FRISH on this Census, but it is definitely IRISH). Samuel is down as being born in Holborn, London on this Census. Daughter Hannah is down as Elizabeth.
1881 Census - 26? Castle Road, St Pancras, London, Middlesex
1891 Census - 34 Brewers Buildings, Goswell Street, Clerkenwell, London. Samuel was a visitor to this address. With a Joseph GALLIFORD and his wife.
  13. There is a birth and death of an Agnes L IRISH in St Ives in 1866, there is a gap in the births of this family at that time and the next child was called Agnes so I would think that they lost this child and named the next one the same, so I have added to the chart above.
  14. 1871 -Census - Church Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire (Ancestry.com has it as FRISH on this Census, but it is definitely IRISH). Samuel is down as being born in Holborn, London on this Census. Daughter Hannah is down as Elizabeth.

  16. 1881 Census - 26? Castle Road, St Pancras, London, Middlesex

NOTE - At the beginning of the line the name is UNNIOT and through the years it changes until today it is ONYETT. At present we are not certain as to when the name actually became ONYETT. As there are several variants in the spelling I have put the name ONYETT first on all the charts and then followed that with the spelling for that particular chart and indexed the whole line under ONYETT. ie ONYETT/UNYAT Chart 0700. The actual name as we have it appears for the actual people on the Chart.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
