  1. 1871 Cottage 8 Copper Street, Sheffield Yorkshire. Thomas is 34 a Shoemaker, born Hull, Yorkshire. with his is Eliza aged 30 born Boston, Lincolnshire and their daughter Maria aged 2 months born Sheffield, Yorkshire. So this definitely ties up with what I have found on 1881 Census and means that Thomas had been married before. (just seems strange his wife came from Boston Lincolnshire, which is where his second wife also came from, I would have thought there was a connection somewhere but cannot find it at present)
1881 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
1891 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
1901 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
    1911 1 St Mary's Court Boston, Lincolnshire
  2. 1871 Cottage 8 Copper Street, Sheffield Yorkshire.
  3. 1829 IGI baptism
1841 Innocent Street, Boston, Lincolnshire. There is a Sarah SUTTERFIELD at this address, it appears as though she is 10, This is where family was in 1851, There is only Jane with her down as being 15
    1851 Not found at present
1861 Lincolnshire Street, Boston, Lincolnshire. With the family were Henry SETTERFIELD Grandson aged 3 a Scholar, John Thomas CLARKE aged 11 a Scholar and Grandson, Mary Ann CLARKE aged 11 a Granddaughter and William Robert CLARKE Grandson aged 6 a Scholar all of them born in Boston, Lincolnshire
1871 12 Locomotive Street, Boston, Lincolnshire. With Mary and Jane was a Henry SUTTERFIELD aged 11 a Grandson,, Born Boston, Lincolnshire and a Joseph MITCHIN?, Grandson aged 7 a Scholar born Boston, Lincolnshire.
1881 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire. With Thomas and Jane were Maria KIRKE daughter, aged 10 a Scholar born Sheffield, Yorkshire. Henry SUTTERFIELD down as son-in-law aged 23 a General Labourer born Boston, Lincolnshire and down as married then Susan SUTTERFIELD down as daughter-in-law aged 21 a Dressmaker born Spalding, Lincolnshire and then Ann SUTTERFIELD down as Step daughter aged 4 born Boston, Lincolnshire. From the first child I would think Thomas had been married before, then I think Henry is a child of Jane before they married, Susan is actually the wife of Henry, and Ann is ?, they were married in 1875 so her age being 4 should mean it is a child of theirs, but then it should have the name KIRK, have not found marriage as yet for Henry and Susan if indeed Susan is Henry's wife and it could be their child but why put down step daughter not Granddaughter but it was not his Granddaughter so perhaps it should be Step Granddaughter, which having worked through it I would think is the most likely.
1891 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
1901 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
    1911 1 St Mary's Court Boston, Lincolnshire
  4.
  5. 1871 Cottage 8 Copper Street, Sheffield Yorkshire.
1881 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
1891 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.
  6. 1861 Lincolnshire Street, Boston, Lincolnshire.
With Mary and Jane was a Henry SUTTERFIELD aged 1 1 a Grandson,, Born Boston, Lincolnshire and a Joseph MITCHIN?, Grandson aged 7 a Scholar born Boston, Lincolnshire.
1881 1 Pipe Office Lane, Boston, Lincolnshire.  Henry was with his mother and Step Father on this Census, I believe the Ann SUTTERFIELD aged 4 who is with them born Boston, Lincolnshire is a child of theirs.
    1891 Not found at present
1901 Found but not recorded at present
1911 6 Esh Terrace Langley Park, Lanchester, Durham. (I am certain this is correct Henry, I have found him down as married on the 1901 in this area but no first wife with him) With Henry and Elizabeth are Mary Elizabeth RAPER Stepdaughter aged 18 born Langley Park, Durham, William RAPER Stepson aged 12 School born Langley Park Durham, Willie RAPER adopted son aged 3 born Langley Park, Durham. With the family is a Mary Jane SIDDLE a Visitor single aged 15 born West Auckland, Durham and a Tom Gawthorpe BAIRSTOW a Boarder Single aged 28 a Miner Coal Hewer born Bradford, Yorkshire.
There was also a William Henry SUTTERFIELD who married in June quarter 1905 in Lanchester district, Durham to a Emily ALLEN  who must be connect in some way to this family. It would appear that William Henry was born in December quarter 1879 in Boston district, Lincolnshire, so would think son of Henry and Susan but died not appear on 1881 Census (will check again just in case)
1881 42 Innocent Street, Boston, Lincolnshire.  William Henry down as Grandson was with his Grandmother Mary on this Census.
William Henry on the 1911 Census was living at 3 Lawrel Street Langley Park, Esh, Durham, he was a Coal Mine Rolley Way Man (underground). he was with his wife Emily who was 27 and born in Workington, Cumberland, they had a daughter Elsie aged 1 month born Langley Park, Durham, with them was an Eva COOK a Visitor aged 4 born Langley Park, Durham

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
