Mary Ann BUTCHER (19) was Cook and Domestic Servant, born Long Sutton, Lincolnshire.  (This same family were living at Elmhurst, Station Road in 1891 with Susanna RANDALL,  age 37 years Cook and Domestic Servant born Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. And  replacing Thirza was Caroline POWELL, age 18 years, Housemaid, also born  Biggleswade, Bedfordshire)

    In 1896 Jane LANE was left a gold brooch in her sister Elizabeth Arabella CONSTANT
    née COBB's Will. She was also left a half share of the remainder of her sister's 
    property after bequests and expenses had been deducted.

    Alice appears as a chief mourner on the Newspaper report of her Aunt, Caroline Bennett née Cobb's funeral on 14th February 1918.
    "Alice LANE had visits with various family members who went to England. Ray EVANS, in World War I; Jack and Catherine CLARK, shortly after. Fred CLARK also had correspondence with her, and remembered her with gifts during the Blitz of World War II. Elizabeth MOCK also had correspondence with her"
