    1891 William on enrolment to Army was 5ft  4 3/4 inches tall, he weighed 65 lbs had grey eyes and brown hair, and had a scar on his right breast.
    1911 Hogmoor Lane Bordon, Hertfordshire. William Sidney is down as a Boarder with a William SHIPTON who is married born 1882 Sawbridgeworh, Hertfordshire, and his wife Alice born 1883 Rotherfield, Sussex. they have two children.
    1914-1918 Pension Records, gives the details of William, his enrollment date etc. His army record is varied with 21 entries between 1893 and drawing Army Pension on 21st January 1918.

    I notice that the places above are overstamped with a stamp which is for 1915 the Royal Hospital, Chelsea.
    On 1st December 1893 he is down as Apprentice Drummer.
    There are pages and pages of information for William, at one stage his wife is down as Mrs LEEDEN next of kin in 49 Chatham Hill, Chatham, Kent.

    (18) and Jessie PEARCE (14) and Aunt Elizabeth PEARCE (65) widow born
