1940 Langley, Island, Washington, USA with him was his sister Tercentary LUPTON
Harry Philip Trelevon November 1907 Harry was employed by the local telephone company to string wires in the County. When he and his partner came to property owned by William Dixon, Mr. Dixon shot at them with a shotgun. He wounded Harry quite seriously in the right arm. After it healed he had limited use of that arm. Now Harry had quite a temper and said he would get revenge on Mr. Dixon. He practiced with a pistol using his left hand until he was proficient. One afternoon (11th November 1908) at a schoolhouse about two miles from Harry’s farm he went to a school board meeting. Mr. Dixon was there. Harry shot at Dixon trying to wound him as Dixon had wounded Harry. Dixon was shot in the arm. Dixon insisted on being taken home and would not have a Doctor attend him. He died. The physician who examined Dixon after death said the wounds he received were not considered fatal wounds, being of a superficial nature. The physician said “the patient having no immediate help died from the effects of hemorrhage”. At the trial Harry was convicted of second degree manslaughter and in May 1909 was sentenced to 15 years in prison at Jefferson City, Missouri. He was released on parole January 17, 1917 to his brother Thomas. This affair had a devastating effect on Thomas, Harry’s father. They sold the farm and moved to Houston, Missouri. Thomas died on March 30, 1909. Tercentenary and her mother Matilda then went to live in Aurora, Missouri, where Thomas had settled. Matilda died there August 7, 1915. After Harry got out of prison he and Tercentenary bought property at Whidby Island Washington. After Thomas fulfilled his time as a State Representative for Missouri, he and his family also moved to the the State of Washington. During their later years, Tercentenary and Margaret shared a home and subsequently moved to Oregon where they died. My mother kept in contact with both of them for many years until their deaths. This is where most of the information I have about the Lupton and Dackombe families come from. - Bonnie Mann June 2003

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
