    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perowne_Barracks
Perowne Barracks is a former British Army barracks in Hong Kong. It closed in 1994 following the drawdown of the military establishment prior to the handover of sovereignty in 1997. Formerly stationed at the barracks was a Gurkha regiment of the Royal Engineers. The barracks was named for Major General Lancelot Edgar Connop Mervyn PWEOWNE(1902-82) the first Colonel of the Gurkha Engineers (unit of the Royal Engineers) and later Major General of the Brigade of Gurkhas.[1]
Since closure, part of the barracks has been used as a training school by the Hong Kong Immigration service, and another part is used by the Crossroads charity.
The majority of the camp has not been maintained since the army left. There is still a large Brigade of Gurkhas badge on a camp building - the secondary school - that can be seen from the Tuen Mun Highway which bisects the camp.
The land is gazetted by the Hong Kong government for redevelopment. It is not clear when any clearing of the site may occur.
The barracks is also used as the final checkpoint for the annual Trailwalker event along the MacLehose Trail.
  6. 1911 Posbury House, Credition, Devon as Christopher. Servants were Joseph GRANT (39) married Butler born Sidlesham, Sussex, Elizabeth GRANT (29) married Cook born Cranbrook, Kent, Ellen DINGLEY (29) single Maid born Hindlip, Worcestershire, Elizabeth CRUWYS (23) single Housemaid born
Chumleigh, Devon, Amy CLAY (16) single Housemaid born Crediton, Devon
The 1911 shows him as Christopher. There are no Christopher births, but there is one for a Cuthbert T R C in the right district at the right date. Given the names of the other children in this family it looks as if Christopher was actually registered as Cuthbert. A baptism has now been found for a Cuthbert Terence Richard Christopher so it would seem this is the correct birth entry.
A history of the Parish of Standon by Cuthbert Terence Reginald Christopher Perowne (Unknown Binding - 1967)

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
