1851 Census - Minster, Kent. George was 33 on this Census and Sarah 34 1861 Census - Turnpike Gate House, Minster, Kent. Thomas is a Servant to a Thomas CASTLE, who is 31 and a Milkman and born in Minster and is living with Thomas CASTLE's family. 1871 Census - Crisp Farm, Acol, Kent. Thomas is a Servant to a John HOGBIN and his family, John is a Farmer of 90 acres employing 5 men and 2 boys. 1881 Census - Dumpton Cottage, St Peters, Kent. Sarah, the mother of Thomas with them on this Census, she is 64 no occupation, born Birchington, Kent 1891 Census - 4 Claremont Gardens, St Lawrence, Kent. With the family was Hannah BISH, Mother, aged 74 Living on own Means, born Faversham, Kent 1851 Census - St Stephen, Kent 1861 - Tyler Hill, Hackington, Kent 1871 Census - Vale Academy, Ramsgate, Kent. Agnes was a Nursemaid at this address. Down as being born in Canterbury. 1871 Census - Gate House, Minster, Kent. - On 21st February 2007, Donald KNIGHT asked if I could confirm that Agnes BISH on this Chart and Ellen BISH on PIDDUCK Chart 0305 were sisters. A quick look for BISH in Canterbury on 1851 Census did not give me anything. There is an Agnes BISH in Sturry of the correct age. I cannot find both together at present so thought I would see what I could find. I found Agnes on the 1871 (see note 7) I then noticed that in Note 5 above I had the mother of Agnes down as a Hannah BISH born in Faversham, Kent and aged 74 on the 1891 Census. A search for Hannah on the 1871 Census gives me the address at the beginning of this note. Down as being 54 and born in Faversham, I would think it is the correct mother, her husband on this Census was William, who was 57 and born in Sturry, Kent, which would tie up with the Agnes I found on the 1851 Census born in Sturry. On this 1871 Census there is also a Jesse BISH (Male) aged 25 also born in Sturry a Labourer on this Census. Having looked further I now believe that Agnes and Ellen were sisters and I had the age of Ellen down wrongly, Have now rectified this and put a Chart on for the BISH family, linking back to the two PIDDUCK Charts. 1881 Census - Dumpton Cottage, St Peters, Kent.
