  1. 1871 Census - Master? Boys, Ickworth, Suffolk. The census shows with dittos that his occupation is a Laundress, but I think this must be incorrect and should relate to the occupation above, an Ag Lab, a son also has the ditto's so the same applies again I think it should be Ag Lab.
  2. IGI Marriage. Father of Jonathan is shown as Isaac. I think having found this that Jonathan was actually born in 1824 and not in 1826 as the 1871 Census suggests. There is a baptism of a Jonathan RACE on 3rd October 1824 in Horningsheath, Suffolk with an Isaac RACE as father and a Sarah WILLINGHAM as mother.  The other siblings that come us are as follows:
Isaac RACE baptised 15th November 1807 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Elizabeth RACE baptised 7th January 1810 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Sarah RACE baptised 17th May 1812 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Rebecca RACE baptised 16th April 1815 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Maria RACE, baptised 18th May 1817 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Esther RACE baptised 22nd December 1818 Horningsheath, Suffolk
James RACE baptised 6th August 1820 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Abraham RACE baptised 9th June 1822 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Susan RACE baptised 1st March 1829 Horningsheath, Suffolk (on 1841 Census)
  3. 1861 Census - Round House, Ickworth, Suffolk. There was a Kate RICHARDSON, niece, aged 6 born London with the family.
  4. 1841 Census - Horningsheath, Suffolk, Sarah is the Head (aged 50), no Isaac. Children just Jonathan 15 and Susan 11.
  5. 1851 Census - Horinger. Jonathan is Head but by himself, he is down as married. He is an Agricultural Labourer, so where is Emma and the eldest son Joseph.
  6. 1891 Census - Morten? Boys, Ickworth, Suffolk, I think this must be where they were in 1871 but I have Master Boys for this address, I have not found on 1881 Census as yet. Elizabeth is down as blind on the 1891 Census.
  7. 1881 Census - Morten Boys, Ickworth, Suffolk, family down as PEACE on the Ancestry.com index, it is RACE when you look at it.
  8. 1901 Census - "Mordaboys", Ickworth, Suffolk, (this is how it is down, with the quotes round it, so I think still the same address as the 1871, 1881 and 1891 Census.
  9. IGI Marriage
  10. IGI Baptism, parents given as William and Elizabeth WILLINGHAM, again looking at the births for a siblings of Sarah WILLINGHAM with parents as William and Elizabeth with the same batch number we come up with the following list, (includes Sarah)
William WILLINGHAM baptised 12th November 1780 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Edmund WILLINGHAM baptised 25th August 1782 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Thomas WILLINGHAM baptised 17th October 1784 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Sarah WILLINGHAM baptised 20th May 1787 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Edmund WILLINGHAM baptised 4th February 1790 Horningsheath, Suffolk
John WILLINGHAM baptised 26th March 1791 Horningsheath, Suffolk
James WILLINGHAM baptised 23rd February 1794 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Edward WILLINGHAM baptised 21st August 1796 Horningsheath, Suffolk
George WILLINGHAM baptised 18th November 1798 Horningsheath, Suffolk
Isaac WILLINGHAM baptised 4th October 1801 Horningsheath, Suffolk
From this it would appear that William WILLINGHAM, married Elizabeth LAYTE, 10th April 1780, Horningsheath, Suffolk.
  11. Although it appears that I have got back on the WILLINGHAM side there is nothing that gives me a line for Isaac any further back than this.
  12. There is a baptism on the IGI for an Isaac RACE on 3rd June 1836 in Horningsheath, Suffolk. Father Isaac, mother Caroline LINGE. I have already seen Census returns with an Isaac RACE born Horningsheath with a Caroline as his wife.
  13. 1851 Census - Horningsheath, Suffolk. Sarah RACE was the head, then there is Susan RICHARDSON, daughter, George RICHARDSON, son-in-law and then a John WILLINGHAM, a Lodger aged 62 an Ag Lab born Horningsheath, Suffolk
  14. 1861 Census - Street, Horningsheath, Suffolk. Children - (all born Horinger), Harriet 9 Scholar, William 6 Scholar, Kate 3 and Emma 11 months.
  15. 1841 Census - Horningsheath Green, Horningsheath, Suffolk
  16. 1851 Census - Horningsheath, Suffolk
  17. 1861 Census - Street, Horningsheath, Suffolk
  18. IGI Death, it says it is extracted from the records but it really does seem strange that it appears that he died on his 11th birthday.
  19. IGI Death, again extract from records, and only three weeks after Abraham, so I wonder what caused that to happen.
  20. 1871 Census - 48 Street, Horningsheath, Suffolk
  21. I received on 24th December 2007 from a Brian MARCUS details of Maria RACE on the chart above and her descendants, I will add the information to this and the charts off of it.
  22. 1841 census, Gt Marlborough Street. Westminster, St James (HO107 / 735 / 1 / folio 12 / page 17 / line 10) Maria RACE, 24, Female Servant, born in county. (With a Governess & 2 other servants at home of Bram HERTH(?), a Merchant,  and family)
  23. Brian MARCUS writes: Marriage : 9 October 1842: Maria RACE, Bloomsbury 1, 56, DEC 1842. Checked for matching entry and found  it referred to Henry MARK. Married at St Gile's in the Fields. 14/12/99: Received marriage cert. Henry MARK is shown as a tailor, of full  age, living in Goodge St. Maria is shown as of full age, living in John St.  Her father is shown as Isaac RACE (which confirms details I already have), a farmer. However, Henry's father is shown as Joseph MARK (a tailor), which is different to that (Edward) shown on his second marriage cert. Maria made her mark in place of a signature. Carey's 1836 map shows John Street ran south from Grafton Street, parallel  to Tottenham Ct Road, to Windmill Street. It is now called Whitfield Street.
  24. 1851 census, 9, Marylebone Lane, Marylebone:, Middlesex (HO107/ 1487 / folio 29 / page 54)

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
