1861 Dead Lane, Warboys, Huntingdonshire. 1871 Census - Channel, Higher Booths, Lancashire. 1881 Census - Channel, Higher Booths, Lancashire. 1891 Census - 15 Primrose Terrace, Higher Booths, Lancashire. 1901 Census - 33 King Street, Rawstenall, Lancashire. 1911 8 Love Clough Fold, Crawshawbooth, Rawenstall, Lancashire I think the marriage in 1892 is the correct one. I cannot find a Frank REED/READ on the BMD, the first child being John Henry. I would think therefore that Frank was born before George and Mary married. There was a Mary SMETHURST, daughter of the correct age at 10 Tunstead Mill Terrace, Newchurch, Bacup, Lancashire, (right area) on the 1891 Census. Her parents were William and Sarah SMETHURST, aged 54 and 56 respectively. I would think this is the right Mary. The spelling of the surname REED varies from Census to Census and on the BMD, it can be found as REED or READ or REID and it is worth looking for all three alternatives. 1901 Census - 33 King Street, Rawstenall, Lancashire. I think the marriage in 1892 is the correct one. I cannot find a Frank REED/READ on the BMD, the first child being John Henry. I would think therefore that Frank was born before George and Mary married.
