  1. 1861 Census - 2 Mill Lane, Canterbury, Kent
1871 Census - North Lane, Westgate Without, Canterbury, Kent
1881 13 Holsham Road, Hampstead, St Johns Wood, Kilburn Middlesex.
1891 Census - Edward SETTERFIELD was a Lodger, aged 38 born Canterbury, Kent a Guilder, he was lodging at 16 Horseshoe Street, Northampton, Northamptonshire. He had no family with him. He was down as Married. I have not found the rest of the family on the 1891 Census at present but have found them on the 1901 Census, so they were around in 1891, as the family had grown considerably from 1881.
1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire - a lot of this Census is very difficult to read as it has a lot of heavy lines drawn across each of the entries in the Occupation area.
  2. 1861 Census - I have found Elizabeth Edwards, living in Hurst Berkshire, age 10 on the 1861 Census. Her father was a George Edwards also from Potton, Bedfordshire, as were most of the family
1871 Elizabeth Edwards was a servant in Elston, Nottinghamshire. I spent a short time looking at Elizabeth Edwards to see if I could see how she and Edward SETTERFIELD met as they seem to be miles apart. Other than both families seemed to move around I have not solved anything.
1881 13 Holsham Road, Hampstead, St Johns Wood, Kilburn Middlesex.
1891 3 Whimpstone Cottages, Leicestershire. I found them by deduction and luck, they are down under the name RIMINGTON which is the family above, them, Ancestry.com's usual problem, if there is not a Head it picks up the previous family, and we know that Edward was not at home. Elizabeth, as wife is living at 3 Whimpstone Cottages, Leicestershire.
1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire - a lot of this Census is very difficult to read as it has a lot of heavy lines drawn across each of the entries in the Occupation area.
1911 38 Junction Road Leicester, Leicestershire. No Edward with family but Eliza down as married. Only two children with her. She is down as having had five children three survive and two have died by the date of this Census.
  3. 1881 13 Holsham Road, Hampstead, St Johns Wood, Kilburn Middlesex.
  4. 1891 3 Whimpstone Cottages, Leicestershire.
1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire
1911 38 Junction Road Leicester, Leicestershire.
  5. 1891 3 Whimpstone Cottages, Leicestershire.
1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire
1911 38 Junction Road Leicester, Leicestershire.
  6. 1891 3 Whimpstone Cottages, Leicestershire.
1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire. This is definitely not John as shown on the 1901 Census, but as this son was 1 on the 1891 Census and there was a son aged 11 on the 1901 Census I think it is the same person. Ancestry.com has it down on their index as Grovanne, but looking at it I think it is more than likely Jerrome.
  7. 1901 Census - 36 Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
