1871 - 9th July 1871 Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent (at baptism of Alice and Elizabeth)
children after 1866 named Bradford so assume Louisa married again but if so her husband was not at home on the night of the 1871 census. She gave her name on the 1871 census as Louisa BRADFORD but gave her first three children as STEDMAN
    1881 Census - Not found
1891 2 London Road, Northfleet, Kent. Louisa was a widow a Housekeeper to a William Card a widower born Pembury, Kent, aged 64.
St Botolph, Northfleet, Kent Parish Records and also the IGI. Both show the parent of Louisa as William and Ann. William was a Labourer. The family appears on the 1851 Census with Louisa not being with the family, but with another 6 children. I have found one of the Baptism, William who was baptised on 11th December 1836 with parents William and Ann and this ties up with the age of William on the 1851 Census. I will therefore put a chart on for this family.
  3. 1871 - 9th July 1871 Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent (at baptism of Alice and Elizabeth)
  4. 1861 Census - Shepherd Street, Northfleet, Kent
1871 Census -  Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent

  5. 1871 Census - Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent
1891 Census - 36 Gypsy Lane, Grays Thurrock, Essex
1895 (baptism of Delcie May) - 19 Victoria Road, Northfleet, Kent
1901 Census - 19 Victoria Road, Northfleet, Essex
The original information for this Chart was given to me by Candy Johnson-Brown on 29th September 2006 through Genes Reunited.
  6. 1871 Census - Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent
  7. 1871 Census - Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent
1871 - 9th July 1871 Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent (at baptism of Alice and Elizabeth)
1891 Census - 18 Clifton Grove, Gravesend, Kent. Alice was a Boarder with a Charles Matthews.
  8. 1871 Census - Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent
1871 - 9th July 1871 Barrack Field, Northfleet, Kent (at baptism of Alice and Elizabeth)
There is an entry for a Baptism for an Elizabeth BRADFORD also born on 7th August 1869 on 22nd June 1871. It would appear therefore that Elizabeth was baptised twice the first time by herself and the second with her sister. However although the father is down as Samuel a Painter living in Barrack Field the mother is down as Elizabeth, not Louisa.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
