    1851Waterland, Abinger, Surrey.
1861 Farley Green, Albury, Surrey. This is only a possible address for George, he is the correct age and down as being born in Cranley, Surrey. (Ancestry has Crawley, but definitely Cranley which is near to all of the birth places he gives on various Censuses) He is down as a Shepherd, he is with a George KILLICK a Farmer of 130 Acres emplying 4 men and 2 boys and born in Cranley, Surrey, He is with his wife Mary Ann aged 48 born Cranley, Surrey and their children all born in Albury and all Scholars, Sidney 10, Henry 9, John 7, William 6and Thomas 4. There was also another Servant a James SEELSEY aged 15 a Carter Boy, cannot read birth place. (There is another George STEMP on my Chart STEMP 0611 which could also be the George on this Census)
    or
1861 Ewhurst Street, Eastland Yard, Ewhurst, Surrey (this George is down as 18 but boorn correctly in Abinger, Surrey) He is a Servant with a James MARTIN aged 42 a Farmer of 126 acres employing 3 men born Compton, Surrey and his wife Jane aged 44 born Worplesdon, Surrey and children Ellen 12 a Scholar born Compton, Surrey, Jane aged 10 a Scholar born Compton, Surrey, Sarah A aged 7 a Scholar born Compton, Surrey and James A aged 1 born Ewhurst, Surrey. Also with the family was a Mark STEDMAN a Servant a Plough Boy aged 14 born Cranley, Surrey.

1871 12 Carter's Row, Reigate Foreign, Reigate, Surrey - George STEMP is down as being born in Abinger.  They have a lodger, a Louis ROBINSON, age 20 a Labourer, born Redhill, Surrey. It is interesting to note that living next door is an Isaac POWELL and family, this name is one of the main areas of our research.

1901 Census - George Stemp was living at 18 St Johns, Reigate, Surrey.  Also with the family was an Eleanor WARE, niece, age 57 born Redhill, Surrey. I think this must be on the wife's side of the family.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
