There is a marriage submitted on the IGI by a member of the LDS Church for a marriage of an Ann MILES to a Joseph MOON on 23rd August 1813 in Thames Ditton, Surrey. As this is near Esher where she was born and the date is about correct I would think this was the first marriage of Ann.
Newspaper report of the inquest into the death of Ann STEMP
    SHOCKING CASE OF BURNING
An inquest was held at the Queen Victoria, Ealing Green on Wednesday afternoon before Dr. Diplock, on the body of Ann Stemp who was burnt to death on Monday evening last,(16th Jan,1871). Mr. Sach having been elected foreman, the following evidence was taken:-
Caroline Stemp said:- "I am a single woman and lived with my mother in The Grove. Deceased was my mother, who was 76 years of age. She was a widow. On Monday night, about ten minutes past six, I returned home having left my mother alone some time before. I saw her in the street after I left home and spoke to her. When I returned home some time after six I found her lying near the door, quite dead. The door was locked, mind the key was left on the table for me as usual. My mother had been poorly ever since Sunday. I got in with my own key which I carried with me. There was a little fire in the grate, but no candle. There was no confusion in the room whatever. There was no matches about the house."
By a juryman : " The fire was composed of coal. My mother was not subject to fits. I knew her to have one about five years ago."
Mr. H . Wilkins, surgeon said " I saw deceased on Monday evening about a quarter past six when I found she was quite dead and had been for some time. She was burnt very severely about the chest, arms, face and head. I noticed a chair near the fire and I have no doubt her clothes caught by the fire and that she went towards the door where she fell. There is no doubt death was caused by suffocation before she was severely burnt."
The Coroner said there was no doubt from the evidence that the death of the deceased was caused accidentally. The probabilities were that the deceased was sitting by the grate when her clothes caught fire either from a spark or from coming into contact with the flames and that she then went towards the door, and was overcome by the smoke.
The jury at once returned a verdict of "Accidental Death " .

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
