  1. 1841 Census - Berden Street, Berden, Essex (William on the 1841 proves he married twice. I then found the marriage on the BMD)
1851 Census - Dewes Green, Berden, Essex. Elizabeth and William had three  children, Walter aged 10 (I think this must be a son from a previous marriage of William's as William and Elizabeth did not get married until 1846 and Elizabeth would have only been 14 when she had William if it had been her son.)
Alfred aged 3 and Mary Ann aged 6 months, all born in Berden, Essex. Will put a chart on for this family, showing two marriages for William.
1861 Census - Dewes Green, Berden, Essex.
1871 Census - Dewes Green, Berden, Essex, There was a niece with the family (proving I have the correct family) she was a Esther YARROW, aged 7 born Little Chesterford, Essex. However I do not have an Esther YARROW as a child of any family. I think Esther was a child of Peter YARROW and Ellen SMITH, Ellen died and Peter remarried, I think Esther went to live with her Aunt at this point. I have put her on the YARROW Chart 0701 with a similar comment.
1881 Census - Dewes Green, Berden, Essex
  2. 1841 Census - Berden Street, Berden, Essex ( William on the 1841 proves he married twice. I then found the marriage on the BMD)
  3. 1841 Census - Mallory Yard, Henham Village, Essex. There was a Henry Mansford, aged 20 with the family, an Agricultural Labourer
1851 Census - Dews Green, Berden, Essex. Elizabeth and William had three  children, Walter aged 10 (I think this must be a son from a previous marriage of William's as William and Elizabeth did not get married until 1846 and Elizabeth would have only been 14 when she had William if it had been her son.)
1891 Census - Berden Village, Essex. Elizabeth was a widow on this Census, I found the death for her husband William on a Family Tree on Ancestry.com, so this does tie up with the information for his death, however I do not really know if the date given was for his death or his burial and they have his death place down as Saffron Walden, whereas as they were living in Berden on the 1881 Census and Elizabeth was still there on the 1891 I think it is more than likely he died in Berden, and Saffron Walden is the district he died in.
1901 Census - The Village, Berden, Essex. Head of Household, a widow
  4. 1851 Census - Dews Green, Berden, Essex. Elizabeth and William had three  children, Walter aged 10 (I think this must be a son from a previous marriage of William's as William and Elizabeth did not get married until 1846 and Elizabeth would have only been 14 when she had William if it had been her son.)
1861 Census - Dewes Green, Berden, Essex.
1871 Census -  Village, Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire. Children - George 7 Scholar, born Clavering, Essex, Sidney 4 born Berden, Essex, Joseph 2 and Henry 5 months both born Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire
1881 Census - Village, Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire. Children - Sidney aged 14 an Ag Labourer, born Berden, Essex, Joseph 12 an Ag Labourer born Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire, Henry 10 a Scholar, born Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire, Frank 5 a Scholar born Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire and Kate E aged 1 born Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire.
1891 Census - Not found at present
1901 Census - Village, Stocking Pelham, Hertfordshire. No children at home on this Census.
  5. 1851 Census - Dews Green, Berden, Essex.

They had two children - Gertrude F M aged 5 and unnamed daughter aged 1 month both born Berden, Essex

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
