ASPINALL
  1. 1901 Census, 64 Nine Elms Lane, Battersea
  2. 1891 22 Rolls Street, Battersea
  3. 1881 Census - 28 Parkside Street, Battersea, London. Nora appears on the 1881 as such but cannot find a Nora born in or around 1869 in the Wandsworth district, there is an Honora which could be the correct one. We still have a problem with Mary, she does not appear on the 1871 Census, but I have a feeling that her birth date which was given to us is out by one year and that she was actually born on 17th April 1870. Then everything would make sense. As the only birth on the BMD which matches is for a Mary (not May) SULLIVAN which is what we have for her although she appears on the 1881 Census as May, (Also see Nora who I think is Honora)
  4. 1871 Census - Gaines Cottage, Sheepcote Lane, Battersea, London. On this Census Nora is down as Donora which is Ancestry.com's interpretation, which it looks like on the Census, so I think the BMD Honora is the correct birth. Already explained that Mary does not appear on this Census and I believe the birth date we have is one year out.
  5. 1861 Census - 1b Cole Street, Newington, Surrey. There is a John SULLIVAN and his wife Johanna SULLIVAN at this address. I am not certain it is our couple above. Johanna is down as being 30 which is about correct, but John is down as being 33 which would mean he was born in 1828 and was older than Johanna but on the 1871 and 1881 he is shown as being one year younger. We assume it is correct John was a Labourer in a Floor Cloth Company and there were two children both born St George, Surrey, Mary, aged 4 a Scholar and Eliza 2 (Eliza has a strange comment next to her, there is a line bring the age 2 into the male part and a comment that appears that she should have been put down as a male, but if this is the case why the Eliza name. If this is the correct family I would think that Mary died young and possibly also her sister Eliza as neither appear on the 1871 Census.
  6. 1911 36 Reform Street Battersea S W. With the family was Johanna SULLIVAN mother of wife a widow aged 76 born Kildorey, Ireland.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
