Father Henry TAYLOR Deceased - Music Instrument Maker
  2. 1891 4 Pratt Street, Pancras, Middlesex
1901 8 Pratt Street, St Pancras, Middlesex (entered as age 7, see below). Boarding with them was Henry HEELS (41) Porter born Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire
1911 8 Pratt Street, St Pancras, Middlesex. Boarding with them was Jim (?) MARIE (?) (26) single Music Hall Artist born India
1912 8 Pratt Street, St Pancras, Middlesex. (address at marriage)
In 1901 Emeline is shown as age 7 when she was actually 12. We therefore thought that the Emeline on the 1891 census had died and another one born in 1894, but a death between 1891 and 1894 could not be found for the first Emeline, nor could a birth be found for the second Emilene about 1893/1894.
However, on the 1911 census Emeline is shown as 22, corresponding with the child found on the 1891 census, the one we thought had died before 1893. And there was another child, Eleanor Christian age 17, the age that the second Emilene would have been at this date who had not appeared on the 1901 census.
Therefore, I think it possible that when copying out the 1901 census information the enumerator had the following information:
    Emilene Mary age 12
    Eleanor Christian 7
But when he came to enter it up he entered Emilene Mary, then went to the next line, missed the name Eleanor Christian and made Emilene Mary 7

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
