    Worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 42 years. Was named Pro of the Month two times. He was a "Jack of all Trades", carpenter, brick layer, electrician. Worked many odd jobs during the steel strikes of the 50's. A large man 6'1' 220 lbs. Dark brown hair and beautiful blue eyes. The most handsome of a family of four boys. Spoke French and English until the age of five. As a boy he lived in Montreal, Canada; Bellefonte, Pensylvannia; Madison, Ohio.; Pricetown, Ohio.; and Ellsworth, Ohio. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but his parents were U.S. citizens.

    "North Jackson- Funeral services will be held 1 PM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Chester H. Terry, age 91 of Briarfield at Ashely Place, formerly of North Jackson who died in the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Hospital early Saturday morning. Chester was born March 25, 1915 in Montreal, Canada and was the son of the late Leon M. and Bertha B. (Becker) Terry. Chester retired in 1977 from L.T.V. Steel where he had been a sheet roller. He was a 1934 graduate of Canfield High School and had been an avid fisherman. Chester is survived by his wife, the former Marion Cowen whom he married Dec. 28, 1940. He also leaves three sons, Chester Terry, Jr. of Niles, Lawrence M. Terry of Cortland, Timothy W. Terry of Columbus, one brother Donald Terry of Phoenix, Arizona, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers Robert and Henry W. Terry. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12-1 PM Monday prior to services."

    "AUSTINTOWN-There will be a funeral service held at 10AM Monday, December 31, 2007 in the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Marion Terry, 88, who passed away at 4:15AM Friday, December 28, 2007 in the Hospice House in Poland. Marion was born December 5, 1919 in Alliance, OH the daughter of the late Lawrence D. and Oneita (Crum) Cowen Sr. Marion was a 1938 graduate of North Jackson High School and worked at Isaly Dairy Store in North Jackson, Packard Electric, and Lordstown Depot. Marion was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Ellsworth. Marion was married on December 28, 1940 to Chester Terry Sr. and they were married for 66 years until his passing on July 8, 2006. Marion is survived by two sons Lawrence M. of Cortland and Timothy of Columbus; a brother Lawrence D. Cowen Jr. of Austintown; a niece Nancy Dalton of Lake Milton; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Marion was preceded in death by a son Chester H. Terry Jr. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 31, 2007 from 9AM until the hour of service in the funeral home. In lieu flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice House 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514."

    From the age of one year, she lived on Bailey Road all her life. She graduated from North Jackson, High School. Worked in the family store. She worked for Packard Electric and North Jackson Isaly Dairy. She was an excellent home maker. She taught her husband to dance. They are known for their ballroom dancing. Famous for her home made rolls.

    "NILES-Chester H. Terry Jr., 62, of Robbins Ave in Niles, passed away at 8:05 AM Saturday, December 2, 2006 in the emergency room of St. Elizabeth Medical Center Austintown Campus. Chester was born November 17, 1944 in Rosemont, Ohio and was the son of Chester H. and Marion (Cowen) Terry Sr. and lived in the area all of his life. Chester was a 1964 graduate of Jackson Milton High School and was currently a truck driver for First Choice Trucking. Chester was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of the Mason's of North Jackson and the VFW Post of Mineral Ridge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Chester was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam in the 4th Infantry Signal Battalion. In Vietnam, Chester received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal and was honorably discharged on May 31, 1967. Chester is survived by his mother Marion (Cowen) Terry of North Jackson, two sons Brent of Diamond, and Brian (Susan) of Ellsworth; two brothers Lawrence of Cortland, and Tim of Columbus; his companion Lisa Bennett of Niles; and her children Jessica Bennett of Niles and Jonathan Bennett of Girard; and grandsons Christian and Nathan Terry of Ellsworth. Chester was preceded in death by his father; two sons Brandon and Bradley Terry; and his grandparents. Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of service in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2006 in the funeral home. Internment of cremation will take place in Eckis Cemetery in Milton Township with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Boy Scouts of America Pack 32. Caring and Professional arrangements were entrusted to the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel."
