  1. 1841 Census - Sutton, Shere, Surrey. This is only a possiblity, but the age for Thomas is correct. They had a son John who was down as 8 on this Census. Cannot find a marriage on the IGI which matches.
  2. I think it is possible that Millie was shortened from Amelia. If this is the case there is a marriage of a Thomas TICKNER to an Amelia TICKNER in 1825 in Shere, Surrey. Although it says it was extracted from the actual records there is no actual date of marriage, which is unusual. Again assuming this is the case there are other children on the IGI for Thomas and Amelia other than the son John who appears on the 1841 Census: Amelia TICKNER, baptised 15th January 1826 Shere Surrey, Eliza TICKNER baptised 18th February 1828 Shere, Surrey.
  3. 1851 Census - Sutton Place, Shere, Surrey
  4. 1861 Census - Shere, Surrey. Thomas was a widower lodging with a Thomas BUDGER (BRIDGER), aged 23 a Tanner born Mead Row, Surrey and his family.
  5. 1861 Census - Shere, Surrey. - I think this is the correct John as he is living all but next door to his father, (Children were Jane 4, Eliza 2 and Elizabeth 1 all born Shere, Surrey.
  6. IGI Marriage
  7. 1881 Census - Sutton Place, Shere, Surrey. Children - John 11, Ag Lab, Alfred 9 Scholar and James 8 Scholar al born Shere, Surrey.
  8. 1871 Census - Sutton Place, Shere, Surrey. (wrongly indexed by Ancestry.com - they have the head of household down as Henry, but on the actual index it is John and Henry is the person above him. Children - (all born Shere) Eliza 12 Scholar, Elizabeth 10 Scholar, Emma 7 Scholar, Sarah 6 Scholar, Eden 3, John T 1.
  9. 1891 Census - Sutton Place, Shere, Surrey - Children - Eden 23 a General Servant, Alfred 19 an Agriculatural Labourer, James 18 an Agricultural Labourer, all born Shere, Surrey.  there was also a Martha LONGHURST, Granddaughter, aged 6 born Wotton, Surrey with the family.
  10. I am sure a lot more information will be added for John and Eden's family when I put a Chart on for them, the daughter Eden married a Horace Bates in the June quarter of 1891 and on the 1901 had four children and was living in Wotton, Surrey. As there were a lot of children I am sure there will be other charts to put on for the children.
  11. 1901 Census - Sutton, Shere, Surrey. John, who I think died soon after the Census was living with his son James, John has not occupation, is down as Father. James was 28 a General Labourer, born Shere, Surrey, his wife was Alice A aged29 born Abinger, Surrey and they had Florence A A aged 1 and Edwin J aged 1 month both born Shere, Surrey. So we already have two charts to put on from TICKNER 0507. And we should have a LONGHURST chart as well.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
