    There is quite a lot of information for Thomas Rupert VENUS, he was in the Navy and seconded to the Australian Navy. There is a picture on Ancestry but it shows two men in Navy uniform and does not state which one is Thomas.

    1926 Lena arrived on 1st March 1926 having sailed from Wellington, New Zealand to Southampton on the "Arawa" she was making her way to Cranleigh, near Guildford, Surrey. With her were her two eldest daughters Alma and Jacqueline.
