    Having looked at baptisms etc, we feel that Job and Joseph WALLER was in fact the same person. Joseph does not appear on a Census until 1901 and Job onlyappears on the Census up to 1891. There are baptisms for all the children except for a Joseph so we do think that between 1891 and 1901 Job decided to be called Joseph.

    1911 Hunts Cottage Strood Green Wisboro Green Billingshurst Sussex. This is only possibly Stephen at this stage, the correct age but no birth place given on 1911 Census. The marriage of Stephen to Emily in 1907 in Petworth seems to suggest it could be correct person especially as his siblings gave various places of birth on different censuses. It would also appear that his wife Emily had been married before as she says she has been married 4 years with no children, but the Census reads as follows. Stephen DURRANT head, then Emily, followed by Ellie DUKE daughter aged 20 a General Servant (domestic) born Hambledon, Surrey, then Anthony DUKE Grandson aged 1 month born Stroodpeen, Sussex. There was a boarder an Alfred NICHOLLS aged 20 a Carter on Farm and again no birth place given for him.
