  1. 1851 Slade End, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.
  2. 1861 Slade End, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.
  3. 1871 Slade End, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. (next property to mother). There was a George LARKINS, son-in-law, age 7 born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire with the family
  4. 1881 4 Whaleys Row, Bridge Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. There was a George LARKINS, son-in-law, age 17 born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire with the family. He was a Cordwainer
  5. 1901  High Street, Chatteris living with them is a Kate LARKIN, granddaughter, age 14, a Visitor, born Ely Cambridgeshire. They show as being born in Ely but I think this has happened because the previous family are down as being born in Ely. I think that the George LARKIN on the 1871 Census was in fact the son of Susannah and therefore really the step son of Samuel but has been put down as son-in-law he has then married and the child Kate LARKINS (born on the BMD as September quarter 1886 North Witchford district, Cambridgeshire) on this Census is his daughter. I will try and confirm this hypothesis. There are two George LARKINS born North Witchford district, in 1864 one of them is name George Rose LARKINS. There is a marriage for a George Rose LARKINS in June quarter of 1885 to either a Mary Ann JAMES or a Rebecca WATERS. At the present time I cannot find anything that matches any of this on the 1891 Census. Finally got there on the 1891 the family are down on Ancestry.com as SARKIN. Have also found on the 1901 Census, but although George is down as married his wife is no with him.
  6. 1891 High Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. There is a Annie RAYMENT aged 13 a niece down as Domestic (Aunt's help) born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. This has mean that I have now found the family on he 1891 Census - The occupation for Samuel could be Potman and it also had the word (Mess) faintly written in.
  7. 1891 High Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. Wife Mary aged 36 born Welney?, Cambridgeshire, Children Kate 4 (September quarter 1886) born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, George 2 born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire
  8. 1901 Clay Pits, Manea, Cambridgeshire. With George were sons George Rose LARKINS aged12 born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire and Percy LARKINS aged 7 born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. (Kate was with her grandparents, which was the reason to start off looking for this family.) Also with them was a Eliza HOBBS aged 31 a Housekeeper born Little Downham?, Cambridgeshire and Percy HOBBS 5 down as a Boarder but would think son of Eliza, who was also born Little Downham?, Cambridgeshire.
  9. 1901 17 Church Road, Stoke within, Guildford, Surrey. Daughter Winifred R aged 2 born Guildford, Surrey.
  10. I have found that Susannah who we had down as Susannah LARKINS actually married a John LARKINS and her maiden name was Rose, the second name of their son. They married after the 1861 Census and it appears that John died before the 1871 Census, so we have not record of John. However looking on the 1851 Census there is a John LARKINS living with his parents John and Ann LARKINS in High Street, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. He is down as being born in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. There are a lot of siblings. I am certain this is the right John, I cannot at present find on the 1861 Census.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
