    1891 Vicarage, Massengate, Wakefield, Yorkshire. Arthur is down as Rev. Arthur and Ancestry.com has made Reg of this, and he is down as being born in St Peters, Cambridgeshire, which is why we have not found before. Edith is down as being aged 16 and born in Manchester Lancashire, so I think this confirms the details I have for her above.
    1901 Peterson Road, Wakefield, Yorkshire. Arthur is down as married but Sarah is not with him but her sister Mary Alice REANEY age 58 born Bradford, Yorkshire is.
    Found the marriage of Arthur George as above, but in 1881 he was in Dunkinfield, Cheshire and his wife is named Sarah L W WHALEY born in Bradford, Yorkshire, needs more investigation.
    I am told that there were four children for Arthur George WHALEY and Mary Elizabeth STRATTON and Mary died a fortnight after her fourth child was born. I had Lizzie from information given to me as born in 1871 but I have looked at the 1881 Census again and found that she is down as being two years old and on the BMD there is a Lizzie Stratton WHALEY born March quarter 1879. Therefore this mush be this child. I am told that one of the other children was Edith. There is an Edith Hammond WHALEY born in June quarter 1874 in Manchester district but I do not know when Arthur and Mary moved to the Manchester area. I have not found he death details on the BMD for Mary.
  2. 1871 Wenny End, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire. Father - Robert STRATTON, aged 57 a Farmer 78 acres employing 2 men 1 boy and 2 women. Mother Hannah 45, siblings, Eliza A 11, Scholar, Robert 9 Scholar and Louisa 4 all born Chatteris, Cambridgeshire.

    Information for Sarah WHALEY née REANEY
    1901 7 St Bernard Road, Cromer, Norfolk. Have found Arthur's wife with her daughter Edith in Cromer, Norfolk.

    1901 7 St Bernard Road, Cromer, Norfolk. They had a child, Edith M GIBSON, aged 1 born Cromer, Norfolk. With them was a Sarah L M WHALEY, aged 51, Mother-in-Law, born Bradford, Yorkshire. They had a servant Mary BLYTHE aged 16 a General Servant Domestic, born Cromer, Norfolk.
