    HADDON TP COMMENCEMENT
    The annual commencement exercises of the schools of Haddon township were held Friday evening at the Providence church. The address was delivered by Mrs. Julia Fried Walker, the wife of the late J. W. Walker, whom many years ago was a teacher in the schools at Paxton.

    SULLIVAN, Ind. (Special) - Harold Z. Wheaton, 69, 419 S. Court St., died at 7.05 p.m. Tuesday in Mary Sherman Hospital. He was a member of the Cass. Methodist Church and the U.M.W.A. Surviving are the widow, Ethel; five daughters, Mrs Ellan Pope and Mrs Reba Johnson both of Terre Haute. Mrs Ruth Luthi and Mrs Ernestine Adams, both of Griffith. Ind., and Mrs Joan Hayes. Dyer, Ind.: Two brothers, Harris, Lewis, Ind., and Hinkle RR 5 Sullivan, eight grandchildren and three great grand children. Services will be at 3.30 pm. Friday at the Alexander Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ray Dixon officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call.

Court St., who died at 12.30 a.m. Wednesday in Mary Sherman Hospital, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Cass United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Roger Cullison and the Rev. Basil Hayes officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery. Friend may call at Alexander Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 2 pm. Friday. She was a member of Cass United Methodist Church.     Ethel Ernestine Adams, 78, of Cass, passed away at 3:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002, at Walnut Creek Nursing Home in Linton. Born Dec. 29, 1923, in Sullivan County, she was the daughter of Harold and Ethel (Ring) Wheaton. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Steven R. and Paula Adams of Mount Vernon, Iowa; three sisters, Ruth Luthi of Crown Point, Reba J. Johnson of Terre Haute and Joan Buczynski of Schererville; and two granddaughters, Polly (Mike) of Texas and Emily (Dana) of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland E. Adams in 1978, and one sister, Ellen Pope. Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan with Pastor Paul Myers officiating. Following the services, a meal will be served at Longs Chapel United Methodist Church.

    REBA JEAN JOHNSON
    Our precious Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Reba Jean JOHNSON, 77, of Terre Haute, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 3, 2004. She was retired from Columbia Records.
    She was born Nov. 5, 1926, in Sullivan County to Harold Clinton WHEATON and Ethel Leota Ring WHEATON.
    Her husband, Jack JOHNSON, preceded her in death on March 12, 1987.
    Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Tim MORGAN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Connie JOHNSON and Roger and Cindy JOHNSON; eight grandchildren, Rich HARDEN and his wife Lacey, Babs "Babsie" EDWARDS and her husband Matt, Beth KNEZEVICH and her husband Gene, Larry Joe JOHNSON and his wife Michele, Troy JOHNSONand his wife Cindy, Carmen Jean DAILEY and her husband Mike, and Christina and Derek JOHNSON; fifteen great-grandchildren, Noel, Andre JACKSON, Elijah HARDEN, Grace EDWARDS, Viviane "Ms. Elle" EDWARDS, Blake PRICE, Brandon and Bailey KNEZEVICH, Kyle, Kaleb, Ashley, Travis and Adam JOHNSON, Riliegh-Mae MARSHALL and Mika DAILEY; two sisters, Joan BUCZYRSKI and Ruth LUTHI; four sisters-in-law, Barb, Ella and Marge JOHNSON and Sally Jo CORBIN; three brothers-in-law, Ed BUCZYRSKI, Jim JOHNSON and Hugh CORBIN; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
    She also was preceded in death by her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bishop and Gertrude JOHNSON; a great-granddaughter, Kristen JOHNSON; two sisters, Ellen POPE and Ernestine ADAMS; seven brothers-in-law, Garland ADAMS, Denman POPE, Ed HAYES, Fred LUTHI, Bill, Claude and Rex JOHNSON; and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Jean and Betty JOHNSON.
    She was an active member of First Nazarene Church and her Sunday School class.
    Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday, in First Nazarene Church at Seventh Street and Fort Harrison, with the Rev. Larry MATHIAS officiating. Burial is in Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. Visitation is 11 a.m. until services Monday in the church. Fitzpatrick-Pearce Funeral Home assisted with arrangements
