Together with William on board the ship was a Thomas WHEATON whose details match those of William's brother. No. 280 in the Schedule are George HARRIS (40) Labourer and Sarah his wife (34). They are followed by No. 281 in the Schedule William ATTRUDEN(?) (17) Labourer; Robert ALDER (16) Labourer; William WHEATON (14) Labourer; Thomas WHEATON (10) Child; John HARMAN (14) Labourer; Alfred MALLISON (9) Child; Thomas MALLISON (8) Child and Lewis DEAKIN (12) Child. The individuals listed under No. 282, 283, 284, 285 to the bottom of the page which follow are not families, they are either Labourers or "Child" all under 16 totalling another 31 individuals. Families are listed again over the page. Was this one of the schemes taking "orphan" children to Canada as at this time the mother of William and Thomas was working as a Nurse in Guys Hospital and later lived with, then married, George WEST. The "Ontario" certainly carried "Home Children" to Canada.
