  1. 1841 Newmarket Road, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1851 Norfolk Street, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1861 44 Gold Street, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
  2. 1861 13 Albert Street, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
Living, together with her son Noble Wheaton WATSON with her mother Sarah
WATSON (61) widow Laundress born Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire together
with her brothers Charles Blake WATSON (31) Brewer's Labourer and
Albert George WATSON (21) Tailor all born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
A Visitor was Elizabeth ELWOOD (6) Scholar born Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1871 21 Ferry Path, Chesterton, Cambridgeshire
1873 38 Sun Street, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
1881 38 Union Terrace, St Andrew the Less, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire
There were 2 servants. Albert ROBSON and Arthur NIGHTINGALE, both Dairyman's
    Labourers.
1891 18 Union Terrace, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire (RG12/1285 folio? page?)
1901 41 Perowne Street, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire as a widow
With daughter Laura and grandchildren Constance and Leonard, all ARNOLDs.
There would appear to be some confusion about which children actually belong to Thomas WHEATON and Harriet, which belong to John ARNOLD and his first wife, and which belong to John ARNOLD and Harriet.
    1. Noble WHEATON (b1860) was registered as Noble Wheaton WATSON, baptised as Noble WHEATON and continued using that name throughout his life. Thomas WHEATON and Harriet Ann WATSON married 4 years after his birth.
    2. Clara Jane WHEATON (b1864) was born, baptised and died using the name WHEATON.
(Thomas WHEATON, husband of Harriet Ann, died in 1865
    3. Laura Harriet WHEATON (b1868)
    4. Frank John WHEATON (b1869)
    5. George Henry WHEATON (b1870) (Also shown as Harry on census returns)
All three were registered with the surname WHEATON, although on his certificate George Henry's
father was not shown. Despite the fact that Thomas WHEATON had died in 1865 Laura Harriet
was baptised in 1870 as a child of Thomas WHEATON. All three died as WHEATON, although in
1901 Laura Harriet was shown as an ARNOLD.
(In 1872 Harriet married John ARNOLD and on the 1881 census Noble WHEATON is shown as son-in-law (step son) whilst all the other children, including Laura Harriet WHEATON, were shown as ARNOLDs and as sons or daughters of John ARNOLD. As these three children were shown as ARNOLD on the 1881 although John and Harriet had not married until 1872 after the birth of all the three children, was John ARNOLD the father of Laura Harriet WHEATON, Frank John WHEATON and George Henry WHEATON?)
    6. Walter George ARNOLD (b1871)
    7. Kate Louise ARNOLD (b1874)
    8. Mary Alice ARNOLD (b1875)
It was thought that George Henry/Harry ARNOLD and Walter George ARNOLD were children of John ARNOLD and his first wife as they were born before John ARNOLD married Harriet WHEATON. However, we now understand the first wife died in 1870 age 50, having had a son in 1849, so it is unlikely that GeorgeHenry/Harry and Walter George were hers. Were they John's and Harriet's as well? If so, why was George Henry a WHEATON and Walter George an ARNOLD?
And if Laura Harriet WHEATON born 1868, Frank John WHEATON born 1869 and Henry George WHEATON born 1870 are all John ARNOLD's when his wife did not die until the September quarter of 1870..........!?

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
