1871 George Inn, March Cambridgeshire as Thomas F WHITTLESEY. Living with them was Servant Margaret SAUNDERS (18) born Whaplode, Lincolnshire. A Visitor were Tomblin SANSOM (53) married Butcher born Pidley, Huntingdonshire and Thomas COX (57) unmarried Painter born Leamington, Warwickshire
1881 57 Walton Street, Chelsea, London Indexed as WHITTLESERY

1911 Litre? Villa, West End, March, Cambridgeshire as WHITTLESEY
Registered as Frederick Thomas with the same reference as Rebecca, daughter of William WHITTLESEY and Eliza DOCKERILL. The reference numbers would suggest that Fredrick and Rebecca were twins. William's first wife had died leaving him with two small boys. He then married Eliza and it would appear that very quickly they had twins. Perhaps looking after four small children proved too much for Eliza so William's younger brother and his wife, married just a few months, decided to help and bring up one of the twins.
  2. 1871 George Inn, March Cambridgeshire as Thomas F WHITTLESEY. Living with them was Servant Margaret SAUNDERS (18) born Whaplode, Lincolnshire. A Visitor were Tomblin SANSOM (53) married Butcher born Pidley, Huntingdonshire and Thomas COX (57) unmarried Painter born Leamington, Warwickshire

On the 1911 census Sarah is shown as having 12 children, 4 surviving with 8 having died
  3. Having found this burial on Ancestry.com but shown as WHITTLESEN I do believe he must be a child of this couple. As Thomas and Sarah married in 1864 I feel he was likely to be a first child who did not survive, he has his fathers christian name and his mother's surname.

Note for convenience I have called all the WHITTLESEY charts WHITTLESEY. This is not what they are all named, it shows as WHITTLESAY, WHITTLESEA etc.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
