    Keith Wood -February 13, 1925 - August 6, 2005
McMINNVILLE - Keith died Sat., Aug. 6, 2005 at his home. He was 80 years old. Born Feb 13, 1925 in Shelton, Neb., he was the son of Emmett and Florence (Cobb) Wood. He married Bettie (Spring) Wood on Sept. 17, 1946 at Butte, Mont. Keith graduated in 1950 from Linfield College and went on to a career in industrial propane and pump sales, including work at McMinnville Gas in the mid-1960s. He returned to the classroom in the mid-80s for an Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Portland Community College and was named to their Graduate Hall of Fame. In 1989 he retired as Vice President of Sales for the Cornell Pump company in Milwaukie, Ore.
A member of the Greatest Generation, Keith was a carrier-qualified Naval Aviator in World War II, including duty in Okinawa, Japan. This experience led him to his interest in the Evergreen Air Museum, where he served as a docent for six years. He was an avid wood turner in his retirement and an active member and former resident of the Willamette Valley Woodturners in Salem.
Keith and Bettie lived more than 30 years in Hillsboro, but were drawn back to McMinnville ten years ago by their good college memories. They enjoyed their new home, many community activities and wonderful neighbours. Keith is fondly remembered by his family and friends as a kind and witty man who lived a good pun. He was also a great cook, an amateur organist, and a terrific husband, father and brother.
In addition to his loving wife he is survived by three sons, Kevin Wood of Monterey, Calif., Carter Wood of Washington, D.C., and Tracy Wood of Fredericksburg, Va., his sister Margery Heyman of Port Orford, Ore.: and numerous dear cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Emmett Holt Wood of Beaverton.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tues., Aug. 16, 2005 at the United Methodist Church in McMinnville. Private interment will be at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to Legacy V.N.A. Hospice, 2275 N.E. McDaniel Lane, McMinnville, OR 97128. Arrangements are by Macy & Son Funeral Directors, McMinnville.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
