1861 Census - Little Compton Street, Westminster, London
Doreen and Rodney AGUTTER gave a death date as Bet. January - March 1846 Shoreditch District, Middlesex. However, a Mary Ann is on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census returns with James. Perhaps James married two Mary Anns, the Mary Ann on the census returns is considerably younger that James.
In 1841 the actual census return is impossible to read but ancestry made it 1791 (James) and 1814 (Mary Ann)
In 1851 years of birth were 1788 born Bermonsdey, Surrey and 1814 born Hackney, Middesex
In 1861 years of birth were 1789 born Bermondsey, Surrey and 1814 born Hackney, Middlesex
All of which seems to suggest that it is the same Mary Ann, so I do not think the 1846 death belongs to this Mary Ann and the information has been deleted
Mary/Mary Ann(e) AGUTTER cannot be found on the 1871 census
There are the following Mary Anne AGUTTER deaths which could fit
June quarter 1862 Bermondsey District, Surrey Volume 1d Page 79
December quarter 1863 Strand District, Middlesex Volume 1b Page 338

1841 8 St Georges Row Camberwell, Surrey
1851 Census - 6 Garden Row, St Luke Old Street, City Road, Finsbury, London. James and Frederick have an occupation which looks like Patent Fire Wood Maker, but I cannot believe this can be correct. Patent Wood and Maker are quite clear the Fire is of that length and appears to start with an F, but I cannot think of another word that would fit this.
1861 Census - 12 Millfields? Place, St Mary, Stoke Newington, Middlesex. J
1871 Census - Metropolitan District Asylum, Caterham, Surrey.
  6. 1837 St Georges Row Camberwell, Surrey (baptism of James, Mary, Frederick and Emily)

    1874 23 Marlborough Terrace, Islington

  7. 1841 St Georges Road (baptism of Charles George)
1861 Census - 23 Crown Street, St Giles North, St Giles, Middlesex. Charles G AGUTTER is down as EGETTER but think correct person, right age and born in Camberwell. He is a visitor to the home of a Charles GROVES, who was an Compositor, aged 20 born Marylebone, Middlesex. Also in the house with them was a Margaret MALONEY, aged 18, born St Giles, Middlesex. I am certain this is the person Charles married, see note 10
1871 Census - Webber? Street, Waterloo Road, Lambeth London. I think this is the correct person as he is born in 1840 in Camberwell, his occupation appears to be Painter, but I think it is Printer, but his wife Margaret on this census was born in St Giles which is where he was in 1861.  With them on this Census are two cousins, a Kate ROEADON, aged 20 a Tailor, born Ireland and a William TURNER, aged 6 born St Giles, Middlesex.
1881 Westminster Union Workhouse, Portland Street, Oxford Street, London. (indexed as AGATTER on ancestry.com) Is shown as unmarried but as a patient and Printer, Lithographer which  suggests it is the right entry. RG11; Piece: 124; Folio: 77; Page: 2; Line: ; GSU roll: 1341028.
1891 Census - Metropolitan District Asylum, Caterham, Surrey. I have not found Charles on the 1881 Census yet or his wife Margaret, but it appears from this Census that he ended up in the same Asylum as his brother Frederick. Down as a Patient and Lunatic.
1901 Census - Metropolitan District Asylum, Caterham, Surrey. Down as a Patient and Lunatic.
  8. 1843 5 Tann St, Aldersgate Street, Aldersgate, London (baptism of Selina)
1851 Census - 6 Garden Row, St Luke Old Street, City Road, Finsbury, London.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
