  1. 1861 Census he was living at Sousecoset? (Somerset)  Street, Gravesend, Kent.
1871 Census - 22 Crooked Lane, Milton, Kent. Redmond is down as Edmond on this Census and Catherine is down as being born in Ireland.
There is a marriage as shown above for a Redmond BARRY, if this is the correct one his wife's maiden name would have been DAVIES, I am not at all certain about this as the age I have for Redmond means that he would have only been 18 at this time. Cannot find any other possible marriage and cannot find them on he 1851 Census.

A list of births of the family of Henry John STEDMAN found by Gladys WOOD née THOROGOOD at the beginning of 1998 indicates that the full name of Elizabeth BARRY was Mary Ann Elizabeth BARRY, this is the first indication that she had any other names. This might make it possible to find her marriage and birth certificates. It also gave us a complete list of birth dates for all the children, making it even more unlikely that the name of Fanny which appears in the 1891 census was correct. I have now found her marriage certificate which uses the name Elizabeth. I have therefore put Elizabeth back as the first name and followed them with the two other in parenthesis.
Elizabeth lived with her youngest son and his family at 31 Terrace Street, Gravesend, Kent for the last years of her life until just before her death when she went into a home.
  4. 1861 Census he was living at Sousecoset? (Somerset)  Street, Gravesend, Kent.

1881 Census - 26 Shaw Street, Grimsby, Lincolnshire. James was with a family named BAGSHAW who came from Northfleet, Kent.
1891 Census - 8 Pilot's Place, Milton, Gravesend, Kent. James was a boarder with a Jane STONE, a laundress.
  5. 1871 Census - 22 Crooked Lane, Milton, Kent. Redmond is down as Edmond on this Census and Catherine is down as being born in Ireland.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
