AGNES TERRY née BINGHAM - 1875-1950
Local newspaper (Carshalton area) report of inquest of Agnes TERRY née BINGHAM on 16th July 1950.
    “Driver had no chance"
    Woman stepped into lorry’s path
Evidence that Mrs Agnes Terry of 18 Acre Lane, Carshalton, stumbled while stepping off the kerb in High Street, Carshalton, on July 14, and fell into the path of an oncoming lorry, the driver of which had no chance of avoiding her, was given by Mrs Ann Hutchings of 76, High Street, Carshalton, at the inquest into Mrs Terry’s death held at Kingston on Friday.
    The verdict was accidental death.
Dr. R. Pearce, pathologist, said Mrs Terry was suffering from advance heart disease as well as arthritis. Mrs Terry’s ribs and breastbone had been broken, but she might have recovered from these injuries if her heart had been sound.
The driver of the lorry Alfred Cecil Goff, of Brixton, holder of a first-class driving certificate after 30 years experience said Mrs Terry walked out from between two stationary vehicles.
No blame could be attributed to the driver, commented the coroner. Dr C. F. J. Baron.”

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
