  1. 1841 Census - High Street North, Somersham, Huntingdonshire
1851 Census - High Street, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. Thomas and his two children are lodgers with a Joseph SUTTON aged 33 an Ag Lab born Somersham, Huntingdonshire and his family.
1861 Census - Holy Rood Farm, Chatteris, Huntingdonshire. I think this is the correct Thomas, he is the correct age, He is a lodger with a James TALL and his wife. James is a Farm Bailiff, aged 28 born Witcham, Cambridgeshire. His wife is Maria aged 24 born Somersham, Huntingdonshire.
  2. 1841 Census - High Street North, Somersham, Huntingdonshire
  3.
  4. 1841 Census - High Street North, Somersham, Huntingdonshire
1851 Census - High Street, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. Thomas and his two children are lodgers with a Joseph SUTTON aged 33 an Ag Lab born Somersham, Huntingdonshire and his family.
1863 11 Gales Gardens, Bethnal Green, London (at marriage)
My informant writes the following: After the marriage of William & Sarah they moved a short distance East and took up residence at 2 Cottage Row, Poplar which ran off East India Dock Road, (Cottage Row no longer exits but it's location would have been virtually adjacent and parallel to the present Cottage Street).
The Cottage Road address was given when their second child Elizabeth Sarah Jane was born and I feel this address was chosen because it was well within walking distance of the dock where The Queen of the South set sail for Australia.
On the 8th December 1865 on board " The Queen of the South " my Great, Great Grandparents (William 28 yrs & Sarah Ann 24yrs Burton) arrived in Brisbane Australia together with infant Elizabeth Sarah Jane  (There is a registration for an Elizabeth Sarah Jane BURTON in September quarter 1865 in Poplar district, London who could be a child of this couple)
  5. 1841 Census - High Street North, Somersham, Huntingdonshire
1851 Census - High Street, Somersham, Huntingdonshire. Thomas and his two children are lodgers with a Joseph SUTTON aged 33 an Ag Lab born Somersham, Huntingdonshire and his family.
1871 Census - 31 Clarendon Street, Paddington, London. Three children on this census. Ada 6 born Ramsey Huntingdonshire, a Scholar, Fanny 5 born Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, a Scholar and Alice 2 born Paddington, Middlesex.
1881 17 Clarendon Street, Paddington, London. Children with Jane were Ada 16 born Ramsey, Huntingdonshire, Alice M aged 10 a Scholar born Paddington, Middlesex, Flora M aged 7 a Scholar born Paddington, Middlesex and Daniel D aged 6 a Scholar born Paddington, Middlesex.

The idea of these charts is to give the information that we have found in the research we have done and put together and with the help of many other people who have contacted us over the past thirty odd years we have been researching our family. The idea is that you click on the Chart box in blue to be taken to the next family. There is now a large number of charts to be found and connections can be made to all the main families I am researching. If a chart has a box with the standard background it means that as yet I have not put the Chart on the Web.
To conform to the Data Protection Act all the Charts have been altered to exclude all details for living people other than the name.
