    DEATH DATE: Some sources have his death date as 15 November 1921 but I used the date on the death certificate and the burial record.
    PIONEER BLACKSMITH DIES
    James Chauncey Carter, aged 65 died Sunday evening at his home 91 North Fifth West. He is survived by his former wife, now Mrs, S J Adams, the following sons, Earl and Don: daughters Mrs, Nora Ruth and Mrs Alta Reed, all of Placerville, Colo., and Mary Lydia Sullivan of Durrant, Colo.
    The Funeral services will be hell Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Third ward meeting house. The casket will be open for friends to view at the ??? Undertaking parlor, Wednesday from 10 to 11.30.a.m.
